I saw pics online of their homemade desserts and was really looking forward to trying them out. Unfortunately, I think one of their matcha desserts was quite frankly overrated. I ordered the lychee matcha cheesecake. It consisted of fresh lychee pulp, which was the only good thing about it for me, a layer of « light » cheesecake w fresh lychee pulp inside as well, and a matcha cheesecake base. When I asked the staff about the layers, they were very vague on names… now to think of it, that was definitely a red flag. The first layer was much too sweet but the texture was okay. The bottom layer (I asked if it was a matcha basque but they said it was just a « tough cheesecake » lol) was really dense, as they said, and on the dry side. The matcha flavor didn’t come thru enough and there was a weird cheesiness about it. It tasted kinda like the silver package laughing cow cheese cubes for some reason. It was a quite confusing experience for me. The pairing of flavors didn’t match that well either. Poor execution…… in my opinion. What’s worse was that their americano was absolutely horrible. No fragrance, no tang, only bitterness. Heard that their sandwiches were good tho…. Maybe I’ll try their savory...
Read moreA homely, quaint place for brunch. The meals are basic but well-seasoned. The chicken leg is very flavorful; I tried some of my friend's. I personally don't go for a large chicken leg unless I am watching a jousting tournament or at a fake medieval castle but I just may get one for myself next time.
I ordered a steak medium rare and it surprisingly came out as promised. I thought it would be closer to medium but they did it well. Or not too well, I should say. I also appreciated the corn off the cob. I always feel spoiled when I don't need to eat corn with my hands.
The matcha latte was good. The matcha basque was even better. I don't really like the soft gooeyness of a basque cheesecake but the matcha really made up for that with its bitterness. The matcha ice cream was just as quality.
Some downsides of the place are that it is poorly ventilated, the menu interface is poorly designed, and the food takes ages to come. There is no service fee so can't complain too much that they aren't doing their jobs efficiently, but it doesn't look understaffed though. You order first at the counter and then hope...

Tried two of the their three selections (sausage & bacon and chicken leg breakfast). Both breakfast were fine, nothing to complain about. The coffee and juice were fine as well. The ground floor has mixed of small to large sitting areas and at the back it has sofa seats too. • Note: sofa seats at the back may be comfy, but it's near the bathroom 🚾.
On the 2nd floor by the window, has two tables (each table accommodates two people), and on the other side, couple of sofa seats primarily for large parties. • Note: be aware that sitting upstairs could be a nightmare if you happen to encounter uncourteous large party that's loud and noisy as I have found out today 😫
