It's a Thursday afternoon so I seem to have missed the lunchtime crowds. My colleagues have been binging on Selfish Burgers for a few weeks now so I thought I'd try it out.
The space is a refreshing change to the hustle and bustle of Xinyi. Right in front of me are 3 ales on tap which I'd like to try out but sadly I have to go back to the office later.
The menu is simple and easy to navigate but offers enough choice to keep you coming back. I like that you can play it safe and stick with some classic style burgers but also explore some new flavors (to me at least) such as Apple and Cinnamon Chicken or Peach and Pork. What's especially good to see is that they offer a vegetarian option which isn't a bean burger (Maple Chestnut Squash). There is a nice variety of sides above and beyond onions rings and fries i.e. Fried squid and Silver Herring or Olives and Pickles.
Overall, I had a great experience and would like to come back at a busier time (after work) to try out some of these ales and more creative burger...

Nothing set itself apart that’s what I’m trying to say but what did stand out was the portion. You can make your own conclusions with the picture below. For NT$80, I’d personally expect more than 3.5 yam fries. Tried out the peanut butter burger because I love peanut butter and haven’t tried any burger with peanut butter sauce yet. Quiet a disappointment I’ll have to say. The cheddar cheese was deep fried so u can’t actually taste the melting cheese biting into the patty. Maybe that’s why the whole thing tasted rather dry. A good burger is when you can taste all the fresh ingredients mixing together with juice coming from the patty and the produce. I was scouting a place for a friend’s birthday party but guess we r going somewhere else that...
Read moreEverything you want in a burger. Thick juicy beef patties, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and the other usual dressings. We probably ordered the two spiciest burgers on the whole menu and when they say spicy they are not lying 🥵. But still very good.
One of the burgers we ordered a set which was an extra 150 with a drink, fries, onion rings (very tasty) and one chicken wing (two would be adequate). The drink we chose coke which was served with ice and lemon.
Decent service, quick food, nicely decorated restaurant, reasonably priced considering it’s location close to Taipei 101. About 500pp inc drink & service fee.
Not that big of a restaurant so recommend you call to book a table. They accept both cash and card payment. I would come here again and prefer this compared to bigger chains like TGIFriday & Chillis.
Would recommend and come...
