Very nice, large modern shopping mall with many popular brands, like Timberland, Roots, Muji, Uniqlo, Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Swarovski, Levi's, & The North Face, among others. Large parking deck makes it easy to visit, and there are 3 floors of shops, plus many restaurants on a fourth floor. A video arcade is also there for the kids, as well as Starbucks, Mister Donut, and Coldstone Creamery on the first floor. This is a great place to spend an afternoon shopping, strolling around, and dining.

You can find almost anything here, from shoes to clothes, and many restaurants including Red Lnyern for Cherry Valley roast ducks. Weekly provisions can be bought at anchor tenant Carrefour, and medicines from Watsons etc. We like that the mall is not super crowded, and there is also the attached Silks hotel. Do note there are no public washrooms on the ground floor, but these are available in the basement and the second floor.

新月廣場的所在地是舊宜蘭監獄搬遷後騰出的空地，宜蘭縣政府將此地重新辦理都市計畫，而此購物中心位處縣府舊城更新計劃的範圍內，而這更新區域地塊正好呈新月形，所以命名為蘭城新月計劃，故在區域內的大型複合商場便直接以蘭城新月廣場命名之。目前為台灣東部最大的購物中心，是結合百貨、量販店(家樂福)、名品過季專賣店(outlet)和五星級飯店(晶英酒店)的購物商場，樓層有地下4樓、地上11樓共15層。家樂福量販店位於新月廣場裡面的地下二樓。此外，誠品書局、大創百貨、西堤牛排、勝博殿日式炸豬排、義式屋古拉爵、瓦城泰式料理、聚北海道昆布鍋、星巴克、麥當勞、摩斯漢堡、三商巧福、爭鮮等知名連鎖店皆有進駐其中。包括日本潮牌包包Porter、加拿大服飾Roots、法國精品內衣Chantelle等知名品牌，都陸續在新月廣場設立暢貨中心。運動品牌，包括ＮＩＫＥ、adidas＆Reebok也都有設立outlet的門市。整體而言，新月廣場結合飯店、百貨、影城、量販店及知名連鎖餐廳，就多元化及便利性來說，在整個台灣百貨及飯店業界之中相當的『獨樹一格』，可說是應有盡有、無所不包。在停車方面，雖然在B3F~B4F設置有1,005輛汽車停車位，平日停車不虞匱乏，免受排隊之苦。不過在星期假日期間，若是在中午十二點半以後才開車抵達的話，就可能要排隊等候車位。平日停車費率每小時30元，假日停車費率每小時40元，在新月廣場不管是百貨、影城、飯店或量販消費滿額就可以享有停車免費折抵，不過最划算的方式，就是在家樂福量販店消費(不限金額)，無論是平日或是假日皆有兩小時免費停車的優惠，還可以與其他消費合併折抵停車優惠最高可折抵四小時。
