IG: foodie_foxx As a crazy foodie with, I recently embarked on a culinary expedition to sample the famed Slobber Burger, which had been receiving rave reviews from bloggers and food enthusiasts alike. However, my experience left much to be desired, as I was gravely disappointed by the lackluster quality of their chili cheese burger, which failed to live up to my spicy expectations.
The menu at Slobber Burger was extensive, spanning several pages with a plethora of options to choose from. Despite the wide selection, I was dismayed to find that the burger I had ordered failed to meet the high standards I had come to expect from this renowned establishment.
While the main course may have fallen short, the appetizers were a saving grace, with their succulent buffalo wings and crispy fried jalapeƱos tantalizing my taste buds with their savory flavor profiles. However, the shake I had ordered - the Oreo milkshake - was similarly disappointing, lacking the thick, creamy texture that one would expect from a milkshake.
I must confess, I was disheartened by the subpar quality of the food at Slobber Burger, particularly given its lofty reputation in the foodie community. I was compelled to resort to consuming only the succulent patty, leaving the unappetizing bun untouched.
Despite this underwhelming experience, I remain eager to return to Slobber Burger to sample more of their offerings in the hopes of discovering a hidden gem amongst their menu. Alas, my first encounter with their food has left me feeling less than satisfied.
Bon appetite...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe first time I came to Slobber I got a burger, and it was unbelievable. It was their chili burger and it had actual homemade chili, a great patty, it really tasted like an American diner. I kind of couldnāt believe it, but ok, itās a burger, itās not THAT hard to do a good burger.
The second time I came, my wife got the fajitas. These fajitas are incredible. I was stunned that you could get such good fajitas in Yilan of all places.
The third time, we got breakfast. Again, it was amazing. Huge portions, well cooked omelette with home made fillings, better pancakes than most diners in the US, and really quality hash browns (called āPotatoes OāBrienā here).
I have to give it to Slobber. They are somehow slinging some seriously authentic American diner fare in the place youād least expect it.
Whatās really amazing is the extent of the menu. Still so much to try... burritos, sandwiches, a million different burgers... and SIX kinds of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was embarking on the first leg of my late summer vacation and Slobber was my first stop before heading up to the mountains. Right from entering the restaurant, my wife and I were greeted by extreme rudeness from the waitress. We considered leaving right then and there but stayed since weāve heard good things about the food. On the whole, itās not bad. I had the blue cheese burger with potato wedges. I did soon discover that the restaurant uses MSG in significant amounts due to the parched feeling I had for hours after. I guess youāve got to expect it in a lot of Taiwanese cuisine, but in my view, MSG shouldnāt be used in burgersā¦.and the better burger joints in Taiwan most definitely donāt use it. Iām unlikely to return and I wouldnāt recommend Slobber to others due to the rudeness of...
