明潭創意餐館 — Restaurant in Yuchi Township

Had lunch here on a Monday and its self service where you have to go to the counter to place your order. We didn't realise that for a while and waited for quite a bit before discovering that we needed to head to the front counter to order. Got the Mapo Tofu set and the beef rice noodles. Once we ordered, the food arrived fairly quickly....

My good experience with Taiwan was greatly discounted with deep disappointment with this restaurant.

My family and I; a small group of just three people joined a rather short queue but I was bewildered by the fact that one waitress came straight to me stating that they only served ‘Group Set Dinner’ - meaning a fixed number of specific dishes for 2-3 people or more. We sat down and ordered anyway, without much of a choice.

The thing that angered me was every other table were allowed to order ala-carte dishes freely. The food served was beyond basic, mediocre and overpriced. Not to mention the really bad service. I really felt being ripped off and I would totally not recommend.

delicious and homely food! the fish steam boat was the highlight; fresh fish and many ingredients inside the broth. the boar meat rice set was so so. service was good and staff were friendly. do give this restaurant a chance if you are...
