Spouse and I were both wanting a bit of a sit down breakfast before heading off from Taipei main station for the day. We’ve both been loving the street food breakfasts you can get in Taipei, but wanted some nice decor and a pleasant atmosphere to plan our day.
We were pleasantly surprised to find they had an English menu. Service was prompt and good.
We both had egg bunwiches (called burgers on the menu), she a mushroom one and myself a bacon. The mushroom was okay, unless you’re a vegetarian I wouldn’t recommend it, but I was really happy with the quality of the bacon and how it was cooked. Plus the egg was good, bun was tasty and it kind of reminded me of a decent BLT with egg. A bit of mayo instead of ketchup as the condiment would have been maybe better but I’m not complaining.
We also had two hash browns - which are probably the conventional frozen ones that have been re deep fried, I always like these and thought they were well prepared.
We followed this up with some hot oolong tea. We got here right around opening and didn’t encounter a line but it started to fill up by 10am, but I feel like you could probably walk in...
Read moreWe came here on a Sunday. They do not do reservations, so we added ourselves to the waitlist. We were told the wait would be approximately half an hour; we waited for more than an hour. Once we got seated and had ordered, we waited for our food for about half an hour. When we finally got the food, they gave us the wrong order, and we waited for an additional half hour. We finally got our food, which tasted all right but definitely could have been better. My food arrived almost an hour after my friend's, so her food was finished by the time I got mine. Overall, this place is not worth the wait or the food. One perk is that there is a fantastic coffee place next door, so after our disappointing brunch, we went there and had some delicious coffee. My friend lives in Taipei, and she said she has never had a worse customer...

The service was efficient and straightforward.
Not the kind of cafe to hang out with a coffee for hours. But their food is excellent. I had the French toast brunch, very tasty indeed. As was my hot latte. Recommended for a good quality brunch, assuming you can get a table. They don’t have the best AC (if at all) so be wary if it’s a particularly hot day. Service was friendly to English speakers, you can order...
