I don’t typically write bad reviews but I’ve had so many bad experiences at this restaurant, I feel like I need to say something. I went to the restaurant today at 5:15 to eat by myself and the waitress seated me at a corner bar seating. Since the chairs were not very comfortable and the restaurant was practically empty at the time , I asked if I could be seated at one of the smaller two people dining tables as I was only going to eat for no more than 30min. The waitress told me the seats were reserved for guests coming at 6pm and 7pm. I asked her if she could just seat me at a 7pm table as I would be long gone by the time the people arrived . She insisted that was not possible as the tables would need to be cleaned after I leave…. So the bar table I’m being seated at doesn’t need to be cleaned after I eat?? I completely don’t understand the logic behind this. (I ended up finishing my food at 5:45, and all the small tables were STILL empty). There were also several times when I went to the restaurant while there were barely any customers and the waitress said I needed to wait 2 hours for my single tofu pot due to “online orders.” I’m ordering a single tofu pot , not a feast for 100 people. I understand every restaurant has online orders, but there are ways to make arrangements to make sure on-site customers also get their food in a timely fashion without having to wait 2 hours , especially small orders like a single tofu pot. Another time , I went to the restaurant over an hour before closing time , and the waiters said they’ve already closed the kitchen. I’ve never seen restaurants that stop serving food an hour before they close. It almost seems to me like the restaurant is actively trying to turn away business. The food here is decent , but the customer service really needs improvement. Judging from other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one that...
Read morePortion is quite big. We had NTD1099, for two persons. The fried chicken wasn't crispy, disappointingly soggy and greasy. When the waitress asked if everything was OK? I highlighted this fact and she said that it was because the chicken is coated with sauce. I have eaten in many Korean restaurants and this is the least crispy, soggy fried chicken. I left half of everything uneaten.
I've read your response. The fact is I've eaten in other Korean restaurants before, and eaten their fried chicken with sauce. I'm also familiar with homemade Korean fried chicken with sauce. I know that with sauce, the chicken is less crispy. But your kitchen served up something that soggy beyond what is acceptable standard. When I highlighted it to the waitress, at least don't assume that the client is ignorant. If you were to take a knife and cut through the chicken, you will find that whole thing had a sponge-like texture. For the price you're charging, I cannot recommend anyone to eat it unless there is big improvement in the food quality. A good standard must be maintained to have consistently...
Read moreI got the small portion half and half chicken (half honey garlic, half volcano spice) and an order of teokkpokki to-go. Pretty good! Really big portion sizes that make the price worth it. I like the volcano chicken and teokkpokki most, though I feel they could be spicier (I didn't think they were that hot, flavor-wise, but the sauce was still pretty tasty). I think the honey garlic could also be a little sweeter.
The restaurant interior was nice! Really cozy feel. The staff were friendly and patient. The packaging of the food lasted the short trip back to my apartment without losing too much heat. So yeah, all in all, I'd...
