AoBa Zhongshan Restaurant — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

The attitude of the moderately-to-large built male waiter (he did not wear a name tag) wearing earring on his left ear was awfully poor. I am a tourist first time visiting Taiwan, and I don’t understand and speak Taiwanese Mandarin well. When I ordered food, I asked for any recommendations because a number of dishes that I wanted to try were sold out already. The waiter introduced a dish to me impatiently, and I could not catch the dish name because I don’t really know Mandarin. The waiter then impatiently turned the pages on the menu and hit on the photo of the said dish on the menu repeatedly using the end of his ball pen rudely, throwing temper tantrum on me. I felt totally offended as I have been super polite all along. I think he is one of the rudest waiters that I have encountered in my entire trip in Taiwan. It was an unpleasant lunch at this restaurant on Nov 13, 2016. We, 4 ladies have ordered quite a number of dishes, as ladies are always concerned on weight and do not want to waste. We only have ordered 2 bowls of sweet potatoes congee and when the bill came, have charged us for 4 persons of having congee. Without disagreement, we paid for the amount caused it was a very small amount of money. But what disgusted us, our lunch was under surveillance caused the head waiter said he has watched one lady has tried one mouthful of the congee.
