If you are wondering why the restaurant is rated 2 star you can scroll down to the service part.
The food is 4.5 stars It surely is a creative and delicately designed fusion restaurant, the foods are delicious and flavored with unique ingredients. The only reason why it isn’t 5 stars is because of the portion. You will need to order at least double the amount of the main course to feel full. But if you are here for social and a good taste of wonderful dishes it is acceptable.
Atmosphere is 5 stars The restaurant is tidy and decorative, it has spectacular interior design and a warm yet not dim welcoming lighting. The silverware’s are selectively chosen and clean, tables are nicely spaced for comfort and bathrooms are clean as well. My family and I enjoyed the setting in and out.
Service is a poorly 1 star I sincerely despise giving poor review due poor staff services, the staffs really aggravated my wife and I so terribly that I wanted to take a few days to cool down before giving this review. First the ushering staff was great and kind. But the table staff made us felt extremely uncomfortable, as he only serviced one of our female foreign nationality member with kindness throughout the dinner. At first we thought maybe it was just a misunderstanding when he refused to provide us the additional sauce we requested due to the small portion like mentioned above that comes with the dish, but he decided to service this right away when our particular family member requested for it, next what really made us felt uncomfortable is when 4 members of our family had empty water cups on the table and he came to “only” pour the water for this female family of ours, I even had direct eye contact with him and he just walked away from there leaving 3 other members water cup empty. Lastly what disappointed us greatly that my wife had to wait such a long excessive time for her meal, another staff came to explain to us that the meal is “already” being prepared, only to have it served 20min after it was previously said to had been “already” being already prepared. We understand that some dishes takes longer time than other dishes thus will have to wait longer, but we didn’t expect a dish to have to be served 20min “after everyone finished with their meal”. It would’ve been nice for the manager to come out and apologize for possibly and likely forgetting our order.
Overall we truly had a nightmare of an experience that evening, and the reasons why we given such low review, I wanted to give it a 1 star, but I didn’t want the below 1star service to strip away such wonderfully prepared and cooked food.
I don’t think my wife and I will return to the restaurant unless for...

The pasta sauces are thin and not even close to as flavorful as they used to be. The pastas themselves are not particularly unique like they used to be. The salad was mostly leaves and lettuce at that. The deep fried squid I ordered was over cooked and rubbery and I had to return it as it was inedible. The service is still excellent though, but unfortunately that's not enough reason to keep going back. It's sad, since we went here pretty regularly and it was one of our favorite places to eat at. I found out about the Pasta and Co pop up at Take Five on its very last day and I managed to get a table and had 3 of the pastas they had on offer - the pumpkin nduja rigatoni, the sundried tomato one and the pesto with pistachios. All 3 of them were excellent, amazingly flavorful and very creative. So when they opened their own restaurant last week, I couldn't wait to go back. We went for dinner tonight and once again ordered 3 pastas! Obviously that's one pasta too many, but they were so delicious, I can't complain. My belly though isn't as pleased at being stuffed past capacity. We got our favorite from the pop up which was the pumpkin nduja and it did not disappoint and we had the very unique Kung Pao sorrentina and the sourdough biggoli. The Kung Pao sorrentina was so good! Like I mentioned before, it's very unique and I loved the combination of flavors. The peanuts on top brought a layer of texture to the dish that made it just perfect. I don't think I'll order the sourdough biggoli again. It was tasty and I love that they are experimenting and trying new things but I'm not sure if the burrata being deepfried added anything to the dish and I feel like their other pasta offerings are just so much more delicious, that while the biggoli was good, they have better pastas to offer. We got the limoncello tart and "fried chicken" eclair. And they were great and a perfect finish to the meal. The staff were lovely and the service was...
Read moreWell made food done properly fresh is always something remarkable and a pleasant surprise at these prices in Taipei. Unfortunately they ran out of steaks by 6:30, but the Parmesan Chicken and Crispy skin Pork, were pretty great as well. Portions are adequate, so if you're used to the usual locally adjusted portions, you may need a doggie bag. Appetizers were tender and tasty, nothing freezer dried out. The jalapeno poppers were very surprising as they actually cared heat(not alot) instead of pickled watered down ones. The variety of pasta that I believe are all made in-house was also something that drew our attention, as well as the sauces which had slight but yummy noticeable twists from what one might usually expect from an Italian themed pasta place.
Food wise, I simply like the fact that each and every item tasted like it was attended to with care, instead of a factory assembly line. The desserts out of necessity mostly can't be done fresh of course but this isn't a patisserie yet the tiramisu, basque cheesecake and blueberriy tart were made with the same level of professionalism, no cutting corners. Service was attentive and professional. Yes they were slammed so we waited more often than not. On a Friday night, they're courteous attitude didn't change no matter how busy/harried things got. I don't consider this place a haute cuisine place that's supposed to be quiet and understated. I just expect to enjoy great food with friends with friendly service and it's what we got.
Since all 3 drinkers at the table were driving, we couldn't avail ourselves to the drink menu and it was for me the only regretful...
