This review is based on the value of the property for the price we paid (~$3600NTD/night on avg)
Firstly, we booked an accessibility/king bed room in the 11th floor. The room was very small, basically the door opens and the bed is right in front, but it was liveable. The room included a humble sized closet, mini fridge, small desk, and tv. The washroom, however, was about the same size as the room itself. We had two strollers that took up the entire "empty" space that was available between the entryway and desk. In sum, a small room but it worked.
The washroom is the no divider style, unless you use the bathtub which we did not want to use. The sink does not come with a vanity, so it was just a sink and no countertop space for anything else. Less functional, but still we made it work. Toilet, sink, and shower all worked just fine. However, the ventilation is extremely poor. Basically everything we hung in the washroom dried poorly.
The bed was comfortable, HOWEVER, I do suspect "uncleanliness" (dust? Others?) because we (2 adults+2 toddlers) all had a couple/few very small red bumps that don't look or itch the same way as mosquito bites. This is my biggest concern and reflected in my rating.
Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast over our 15 night stay. Food was fresh and tasty. Although, on the last few days the daily veggies went from cabbage to bean sprouts. The kitchen staff was friendly, hardworking, and there to deliver a great service every single day. We miss them!
The only thing I did voice directly to staff is concern about the safety of the accessibility ramp to the lobby. It is located off to the side of the staircased main entrance. Most nights, the light for this ramp entrance was off. It was dark until you fully stepped into the lobby. Occasionally, the light was on. We pushed strollers with toddlers and never felt unsafe, mostly because my husband was always around. However the experience could be very different for others.
Staff said the light is controlled by the restaurant, so it depends on the restaurant and they - the hotel - have no control. This was an unacceptable answer to me. The accessibility ramp is part of the hotel entrance, then the light should be part of the hotel's accessibility and safety considerations, not left to the restaurant. I hope management can take this into serious reconsideration; it should not be a complicated issue to resolve.

Read moreLove the location it is so close to the metro station only takes a 5 mins walk. It is also close to a lot of great Japanese restaurants and decent massage places. Within a 20 mins walk will also see DonDon Donki, computer mall and shopping mall.
I ordered the big room located on the highest floor facing the main street so the view is not bad, they also have room facing the side street where you will be able to have a view of the Taipei 101 tower. Room itself is simple and comfortable, nothing luxury, I do not appreciate that there is only one chair in the room but no sofa kind of seating. Bathroom is huge with separated rub and rainfall shower, big counter space big mirror. Hair dryer is kind of weak it might not be convenience for people who has long hair. The TV is reasonable size but free movie selection are not great. There is no lamp on the desk area there only spot lights above your head. My other complain of the room is it is not noise proof room, I can clearly hear the people from next door taking a shower and move things on their bathroom counter while I try to catch up for my sleep.
Paid extra for their buffet breakfast because I stayed here few years back and the breakfast was great. However, the breakfast is no longer great, selection is also much smaller, lucky thing is they do switch a few items everyday. Flavours arent there, they are just foods to fill you up.
Staff at the front desk are good and helpful, but they do look like they are under staff for such a big hotel.
I would love this hotel if the breakfast quality did not drop, I feel that I am quite disappointed with it. Aside from that, the stay was great and...
Read moreLocated at a very convenient location where the subway station is only few minutes walk and bus stops just across the street. The hotel room is modern and spacious. My husband and I stayed there for four nights. They have bidet, two people size shower and a bath tub that has a tv screen in front (we didn't use the bath tub). We selected a king size bedroom and was located on the 13th floor. It was big, standard American king size bed but the bed was a little hard for us as we are used to softer bed. One thing we weren't used to is we can't put toilet papers in the toilet... You have to put it in the trash can, I guess they are afraid of clogging the toilet due to low pressure system. So, use bidet. There is a laundry facility at the floor above 14th (R floor). To wash clothes you need 10x 7 NT coins (30min cycle) and drying for 40min is 10x9 coins. Be warn that you might have to wait because there is only one machine per type!! 2nd floor is the buffet breakfast runs between around 7:00 to 9:30. Many varieties but quality is just ok. There are a lot of restaurants closed by which you can reach by 15min of walking. You can reach the miniature museum and the high tech mall in 20 min of walk or take bus. Also, we didn't want to haul our suitcases to/from the taoyuan International Airport using public transportation due to stairs to subways and long rides so we took the taxi which costed $1100nt to the hotel and $1200nt to the airport, not too bad and only about 35...
