魯旦川鍋 — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

Found this resto on nearby of Google search as the initial resto that we planned to go to was fully booked. There are 2 levels of seatings, we were seated at the ground level but requested to move up to level 2 due to the noise by the big group gathering at ground level. We had to write down our orders on the slip and bring it down to the counter to process it. It’s fine since there were only 2 persons running the floor. The yuan yang pot comes in spicy and non spicy broth. The spicy one, we could only taste the spiciness and the other one tasted blend. Their fish and meat was fresh though. After the meal, we estimated the bill to be around NT$1,100 including service charge. But, the owner who served us earlier charged us NT$1,400 without a receipt. We left the resto in awe. 🫨 This had us thinking is it cause we are foreigners? Never did we expect to experience such in Taipei. Charcoal hot-pot with stir fry dishes. There are 2 kinds of soup clear and spicy. The spiciness is a spice on a throat more than on a tongue which only 小辣 will make you feel hot. The taste is good. I love to order pork more than beef here. Their fried rice is so delicious with burnt smell. Also many stir fry dishes are impressive. Salty and generous portion.
