There was a strange system for the order minimum. Each person needed to spend a certain amount on food, whether or not they ordered tea, which seemed weird to me since it’s a tea parlor. The style is very old fashioned. Definitely aimed towards an older crowd. Lovely tea selection and lovely tea ware. Food was just ok. The main thing that bothered me was that the whole room smelled musty and mildew-y, and the fabric sofa chairs had an ever so slight dampness to them like they were absorbing some kind of mildew or something. We came here for their afternoon tea set. The restaurant’s decoration was luxurious and elegant. I like how they have an exhibition of all the delicate silverware its owner collected for their customers so we can be more appreciative of the ones that came with our food.

The tea was great, and rose jam tasted fantastic. The sweets were a bit bland in comparison as I failed to find anything special in them.

The waffles were great and the back of the cafe is their awesome tea set collection. We went during a quiet time so we were the only table there. Majority of the time, we could not see any waitress or waiter available. I had to walk up to the kitchen to ask for more sauce and water several times in the hour and half I was there.
