A small family-run restaurant serving xiaolongbao and hangzhou cuisine. Most of the customers who patronize are of an older generation, probably this place was part of their childhood.
Personally, I rather enjoy the food as it is less salty and fatty compared to similar establishments. A bowl of their signature fried tofu with vermicelli and steamed dumplings amounts to NT230. Portion is enough for 2.
No service charge. Cutleries, condiments & hot tea is self-service. Strollers are to be parked outside. No high chair available. Entrance to the shop is rather narrow as well. Might pose an issue for wheelchair and sleeping infants in strollers.

Read moreThe xiao long bao and the pork chop fried rice here are excellent. Actually, all the food here is tasty and quick. Utensils and sauces are self-serve. No restrooms, but you can ask for a key to a bathroom next door. It’s close to Mandarin Daily News, which is convenient either before or after kids get out of class there. The staff are friendly and easy going. It gets busy during lunch. Highly recommend getting a pastry (bing) as those come out immediately (or get it from the window for on the go). Cash only. We’ve eaten...
