This place gets a firm one star from me… a pretentious vibe as soon as you walk in. I understand it’s probably a deliberate thing, but the perceived unfriendliness and lack of any warmth whatsoever from the staff just seems to be unnecessary. I also found the menu quite pretentious, but maybe that’s just my age. The cocktails were pretty underwhelming for the price. My wife was unfortunate to break a glass, now most places would factor this into their expenses for breakages and losses I guess, but they asked her to pay 600NT extra for the glass… feeling very apologetic and a little embarrassed she put 600 in the tip box before thinking twice about it and before I could stop her. I was told about this place by my aunt from an article she read. I decided to head there during my vacation. I loved it. It was dim inside and even though I was by myself, I felt comfortable. Most of the time when I go places by myself, I feel awkward and that people are watching me. Not here. I felt welcomed and at ease.

Great owner, ambience, food, drinks, and environment. Extra space and accommodating of large parties and events. A little pricier than most cafes around but worth it for the quality. I love this place and I come here frequently, just be aware that it becomes loud and crowded at night, but there is extra space downstairs.
