The Happening Place - Restaurant & Bar - Dar es salaam — Restaurant in Dar es-Salaam

I recently dined at Happening place, and I must say, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority.

Firstly, the waitstaff was anything but professional. Our orders were taken with an air of indifference, and it seemed like the servers were more interested in chatting among themselves than attending to their customers.

To make matters worse, our food was significantly delayed. We waited for over an hour, and when we inquired about the delay, the manager was unapologetic and dismissive. Instead of addressing our concerns, he made us feel like we were an inconvenience.

When the food finally arrived, it was cold and underwhelming. Given the long wait, we expected at least a decent meal, but unfortunately, the quality did not justify the delay.

Overall, Happening place failed on multiple fronts: poor customer service, unprofessional staff, and subpar food. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. Save your time and money and...

What is up with every single review of a hotel turning into a list of the reviewers favorite staff and nothing more? How is that helpful to other travelers? It's not, in case you were still wondering.

I get that some hotels pay staff if they are mentioned in the review, but if you really want to show your appreciation, just TIP them. They don't give a crap if their name appears here, they just want to feed their kids.

If you want to write a good review, here is what it should contain:

Service - good or bad (KEEP IT SHORT)

Food - good or bad. Which dishes/restaurants did you try? (Again, no need to name your server)

Room tips/reviews. Was it clean? As advertised? Where can we get the best view?

Tell us about the beaches and pools, or surrounding area.

🍔 Intercontinental food Chinese food Bbq Steak all available here. Food was flavorful and tasty. 7/10

👩‍🍳 Service was ok it didn't take that much time but we were the only ones there. So not sure how they manage in full crowd 7/10

📍Located in masaki with all the other food restaurants in line they need to up their game in marketing. More boards needed for location. They have plenty of tables and space for huge crowd. They should work on their lighting if they want the family people. Wouldn't suggest to my fellow Muslim brothers as their is bar at the entrance and shisha as well. They have kids play area so you can bring your family. 6/10

💲Menu was average some items like steaks were expensive. Indian food and Chinese is ok. 5/10

They have a big screen and a t.v to enjoy sports. 9/10
