As an African I was amazed on how much African cuisine and food in general it is less presented in many establishments. Many places offer burgers, pizza and pasta which is okay but I feel when you visit a new place it’s nice to try their own cuisine. On the beach you rarely find anything local, all food offered is international.

After staying in Nungwi for few weeks, I craved a nice fufu and greens and I decided to venture out. It was during my walks in the shopping street, I noticed this restaurant and since then I have been dining here quite often. The food is fresh and delicious. I felt finally a place which cares about offering our African cuisine.

It’s a small restaurant, family and locally owned with very few sitting options but cozy and warm. I will go back here with my eyes closed without a doubt!...

I had a wonderful experience at this local restaurant in Nungwi. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The place is very clean and well-kept, which adds to the comfort of dining here.

I ordered rice with beef, served with beans and fresh green vegetables, and also tried a stew of eggplant that was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and satisfying. What really stood out was the pricing! It’s very competitive compared to what I’ve spent in other restaurants over the past three days.
