Today I went to a coffee shop here and the staff who took my order didn't seem to provide good service. I used my Visa to pay for my coffee, which wasn't cheap. Four cups of coffee cost 550 baht, which isn't cheap, but since I couldn't tap my Visa and I can't use Apple Pay, I had to take out my card and insert it into the payment machine. I was told that I can normally use it elsewhere, but why can't I use it here? But the staff insisted that it was because my phone, not the shop's payment machine, was at fault. After that, the staff frowned and looked displeased. They slammed the bill on the table, which is inappropriate behavior for service. So I only gave the service one star. Read moreThe cafe had a very chill atmosphere that's perfect to relax or work in. It is cosey and has a modern rustic feel to it. Everything looked well maintained and cleaned as well.
The cafe also has an outdoor area with stools and beanbags for those who prefer sitting outside. This area is perfect for river viewing of the Chaopraya river. It is beautiful during sunset especially with the direction the outdoor balcony is facing.
However, the food and drinks aren't very special other than looking nice because the taste of the drinks were quiet bland and watered down. The food on the contrary was quite decent though.
Overall, Woodbrook is a great place to visit for the atmosphere. We highly recommend visiting during sunset but be prepared to pay quite a bit, everything is...

No shade, just facts. The Chao Phraya river view, though, that’s the real highlight here. Probably even better in the evening, but you’ll likely have to elbow through a crowd of people taking their Instagram shots. After a few obligatory pics, I bailed inside where the AC is actually cool. This place is connected to a hostel, which I guess is a dream for solo backpackers. It’s quiet and chill, not one of those wild party spots, which would’ve been a blessing in my solo days. But here I am now, with my lovely wife, sipping mediocre coffee and soaking in the...
