I searched high and low for this place as the market was about to close, and just as I was about to give up, I finally stumbled upon it tucked away in an alley 🥲 (Not their fault, it’s just the way Chatuchak is a maze after all 🤣)
I’ve only heard amazing things on the Internet about it, not only from the locals but also the tourists. Coupling that with the face that I came here during closing hours, I was so afraid it wasn’t going to be worth it/ live up to the hype- so glad to be proven wrong 😭😭😭🥹💛
The freshly grilled pork is tender, juicy, flavorful without being overly seasoned. As you put it in your mouth, you feel the texture of the pork, but once you start chewing, it instantaneously melts like butter. I would highly recommend pairing the pork with rice as the sauce goes extremely well with it. Every single second of those 20 minutes spent hunting for it was well well worth it 🥲🥲
Now that I know where it is, I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in...
Read moreI have long been a visitor to the Roasted Honey Glazed Pork Mae Sumontha at the Chatuchak Market for over 20 years and their glazed pork and soft and steamy bao buns has become one of my childhood nostalgia flavours.

This flavour alone is already amazing, but when you combine this with your choice of either a pack of sticky rice or their signature soft and steamy bao buns, the flavours elevates to another level. The bao buns soaks up the sauces from the pork, making every bite even more juicy.
The store and staff have been renovated over the years, but the flavours remains the same, with many more delicious items to choose from.
Highly recommend for all visitors to the...
Read moreThe hidden gem is located between crowded alleys and stalls of market. There's no English in the name plate. For those who's not Thai, more precisely it's in Section 22 Soi 4. Stack of roasted pork slices was very appetizing. Marinated and grilled perfectly by the master, it smelled so good, juicy and tender. So delicious, you couldn't stop eating. This is the best moo yang I've ever taste in Bangkok so far. Good service of the staffs, even they were not that fluent in English. Sadly, it's a takeaway stall, they don't provide dine-in but they do sell sticky rice and rice dumpling to accompany your pork. Definitely will be back again and try another menu too. Highly...
