I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Castia and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The overall quality of the Mexican food served here surpassed my expectations and left me thoroughly satisfied.
First and foremost, the service at La Castia was top-notch. The staff were incredibly polite and exuded a welcoming and friendly demeanor. Their attention to detail and willingness to cater to our needs really added to the overall dining experience.
Not only was the service impeccable, but the food itself was outstanding. Our dishes were prepared quickly, but that did not compromise the taste or temperature of the food. Each bite was bursting with flavor and the dishes were cooked to perfection.
I had the pleasure of trying both the veggie burrito and the tofu burrito, and let me tell you, they were both absolutely phenomenal. However, the veggie burrito stood out as the star of the show with its delightful combination of fresh vegetables and delicious flavors. My wife opted for the veggie enchiladas and she was equally impressed with the dish.
To top it all off, La Castia boasts a fantastic bar with an array of delightful blended drinks. Each sip was a burst of refreshing flavors that perfectly complemented our meal.
In conclusion, La Castia is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. From the exceptional service to the delectable food and drinks, this restaurant truly exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend giving La Castia a try - you won't be...
Read moreWonderful staff here, pleasant greetings, attentive , accurate orders & " Aom " speaks English as well as the young man host/ cashier. Grateful for their help calling Grab for a short ride back to our hotel. Complimentary guacamole & fresh tortilla chips !! Great idea ✅, a flavorful well made Pina 🥤 colada while my bride sipped a beer. We are 10,000 miles away from Mexico, California & the Southwest where Mexican food is the daily fare. The 2 cheese enchilada platter had diced tomatoes, sour cream, sauce and had a good taste. The spanish rice was cooked just right ( not watery ). Also served were Pintos negros or black beans- a good protein to balance the meal. No, not the same as Mexico or America and that's O.K. The enchiladas were short not long , no refried beans twice cooked w/ lard, yet the portion was adequate , the service kind, efficient and clean ! The environment is fair with nice seating areas above on the 2nd floor. Some " El Dia de los Muertos " artwork, color otherwise unpretentious. Location is fine as we had a Grab ride and it was 11 minutes/ 4.2 kilometres and a 91 baht fair going & a 76 baht fare returning. There are a plethora of Mexican eateries here in Chiang Mai all within 4 or 5 kilometres of the Old Walled City. So we will return & further explore the 🌮 🌯 Mexican food scene on another visit , time to return to Phetchabun. Thanks 🙏 La Casita personnel, kitchen staff &...
Read moreOrdered delivery from here and it was ok but not great.
The tacos were decent but lacking a bit of flavor. The chicken green chili burrito was big and very heavy, but the filling was almost only rice and beans, there was a bit of chicken too, but couldn't really find any of the other ingredients it was supposed to have. Also it had no taste of chili whatsoever even thought it's listed as spicy in the menu, the only thing I could taste was rice and beans. It would probably have been much better if it was smaller and had a better ratio of ingredients, it's just way to much rice and beans and too little of the other ingredients.
The salsa verde sauce that came with it was very bland and had almost no flavor and not spicy at all. The order came with a free portion of chips which was nice. The chips and guacamole was decent, but again the salsa was very bland and lacking a lot of flavor and spice.
I understand that restaurants have to sometimes cater to people who can't eat spicy food, and I don't normally eat very spicy food, but everything, even the sauces, was just absolute level zero spicy and just lacking those lovely flavors that Mexican food should have.
There aren't any really good Mexican restaurants in Chiang Mai, so this is still a decent option if you are in the area craving Mexican and I will probably try to eat in the restaurant some day try...
