"59 baht. 59 baht." "Everything 59 baht." That's what the Huge sign out the front says. Dropped in for a veg curry with rice. 6 pieces of potatoe and 5 pieces of carrot does NOT make a vegetable curry. It was disappointing and not very tasty. I ate it, I was hungry. When the bill arrived. SURPRISE, SURPRISE! VAT. YES TAX. No where on the menu could I see mention of a tax. (But I could have missed it.) Thought I'd give them another try with a different dish last night. I now know about the TAX. So no more surprises right? WRONG! I asked for some Ice for my water and was told I had to pay for it. It's ICE. I've never paid for ice or ever been asked to in the 1000's of Restaurants I've eaten in in Asia. I said, "What?" I then cancelled my order and went to another Restaurant, had a great meal, and not 1, but 2 cups of FREE ICE. I'd walked past this Restaurant for years.... And now I know why. 😕

Pros: the restaurant is beautiful. It's really like traveling to a world of retros japanese fantasy. I really loved the decor and the attention to details from the dehor to the main hall of the restaurant all the way to the toilets. Cons: the food. For full disclosure, i only had ramen, so possibly the rest of the menu is superb, but all i can do is rating what i had. We had a bowl of shio ramen and tonkotsu ramen. I worked in Japan in a ramen restaurant so i know what i am talking about ( reading my review again i sound very arrogant), and ofc i might be a bit spoiled cause i shouldn't necessarily compare it to the top notch, but honestly, the noodles felt like instant and the broth too. Eggs and meat were ok. Overall i had a good time cause the aesthetics of the restaurants were so inteiguing and i spent the whole time wondering around with my eyes, but not for the food.

Awesome experience. Probably my favourite restaurant in Chiang Mai. The vibe is so cool. You get welcomed with a warm Japanese "Irashaimasse!" The scenery is so cool - like Japanese manga from...well, before my time. So many things on the menu to choose from and the food is soooo delicious. And the coolest thing is that every item on the menu is 60 Baht! And when you're ready to pay, you squeeze the squeeky toy...soo cool! Definitely a must for anyone in the area! Only downpoint was the smoke coming in from smoking zone outside due to "open restaurant" kinda thing. Other than that, perfect place!

me and my boyfriend arrived around 8pm i noted that it was fairly busy (many tables were dirty with plates and there was five tables with people occupying them) i knew maybe service would be a bit slow something i don’t care too much about(another important note there was no buzzer at our table nor were we told about using one for our order considering we didn’t get serviced for basically 20 minutes) we eventually got our menus 6 minutes in not a problem i saw the waitress was very busy taking out orders and cleaning tables then another couple came in but ordered immediately not an issue me and my boyfriend were still deciding but i took note of it but then we were waiting and waiting as they cleaned the tables they kept looking at us and ignoring us i thought it was fine but eventually i saw the time and we waited 20 minutes at least another table came in after a family who got seated and given menus immediately and were promptly allowed to order at 8:24 we left because they did not come up to us after the family but looked us ignored us and cleaned up another table and left behind the counter (we sat across a camera so they can check if my account is correct or not they can) this was the worst service ive...
