Pizza My Heart @ nimman — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Having spent 10 days in Thailand so far (6 in Bangkok and 4 in Chiang Mai) we as a group of 7 needed a rest bite from Thai food and the spice, Pizza my heart was like finding a hidden jewel. The Erma Franklin song (take another piece of my heart) sprang to mind as we left the restaurant! Junie, Kitty and Grace welcomed us and provided us with exceptional food and service, especially our waitresses, Grace who was attentive and thorough in taking our order. Majority of our group is pure vegetarian and Junie and Kitty (the owners), happily accommodated our dietary requirements and we all are the best made pizza and ice creams here, I personally was transported back to my time in Napoli where I thought I’d never eat a stone baked pizza like that but today I was pleasantly surprised and proved wrong!! Chiang Mia now also hosts an eatery that would compete with traditional Italian pizza from Italy. The only difference is that we were able to have a Tom Yum style pizza which I don’t think you find anywhere else, a must try. We all ordered a pizza each so we had a selection of pizzas which we shared and devoured to our heart’s content added with a huge helping of friendly staff we really felt at home. Price wise, between 7 and including starters, main and dessert including beers our bill ranged between 175 - 230 Bhat per person by it honestly speaking, we were expecting to pay around 500 Bhat per person, so saving money was an added bonus. I would thoroughly recommend you to visit Pizza my heart @ Nimman. I don’t usually write reviews but on this occasion I thought I’d break my rule and highlight this venue to those currently in or planning a trip to Chiang Mai to visit Pizza my heart. I had just made a new friend & it was her last night in Chiang Mai. We had been wandering around & she was waiting for her hunger to speak to her, haha. We happened to be passing by here & it looked inviting, so we went inside (& there's wonderful outside seating as well).

From the very first moment, we were greeted with friendliness & warmth. I actually didn't intend to eat, & I haven't had pizza in Thailand yet, or in over a year.. .but the pizza my friend ordered was DIVINE! They were happy to accommodate her pizza due to her being a vegetarian, & we were both oh so happy of the taste & texture. It was the absolute PERFECT crispness with a gooey top - WOW!

For dessert, we found out that the gelatos are also made in-house & the chocolate was recently made, so we ordered that. Again - WOW - it was soooo creamy & chocolatey!

Suffice to say, my friend & I were more than satisfied. On top of that we got to meet the owner, Kitty, & she is an absolute darling! She even had us try a parmesan/foccacia snack!

I look forward to coming back & this time trying one of their pasta dishes. If I can taste all that love & soul in a slice of pizza & a scoop of gelato.. .then I can only imagine what the pasta dishes will make me feel!
