Chinda Hotpot — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

This is the first time I have eaten at a self-service revolving hot pot alone in Chiang Mai. Since I arrived early, there was no queue. I had heard from a friend before that he was planning to open a self-service revolving hot pot restaurant in Thailand. He said the taste was so bad that even pigs wouldn't eat it, but people still queued up even at midnight in Thailand. However, he didn't open it. Now, I came to try it. There were two options: ordering or having the self-service at 388 🐷 per person. Knowing my appetite, I chose the 388 🐷 self-service. I have to say that the butter red soup base is far worse than the taste in Sichuan province , but it's similar to the taste in other areas of China except for Sichuan and Chongqing. I have eaten hot pot in Beijing and it's this taste, so it's a taste that most people can accept. Let me talk about my feelings. There are a variety of fresh meats, seafood, delicious fruits, fresh vegetables , and drinks are also free, and the ac is strong which making it very cool to eat. The seats are also very comfortable. I ate the hot pot while watching "Modern Family" and was very happy. Happy time always passes quickly. It wasn't until the staff came to remind me that I knew there was a one and a half hour time limit for the self-service hot pot. I had a half an hour timeout . I said I could pay first and asked if I could finish what was in my bowl. After I paid, the staff had already sent my bag to the entrance. Yes, I was driven away. Intimidating at first, never been to a hot pot before, but there are a few soup options to choose from - vegetarian. And you choose whatever you want from the conveyor belt. Prices for each are marked by the color of the skewers, so you know how much you're paying. Free drinking water available. Was a little concerned at first as a veg. Eater, but there are plenty of fresh vegetables, mushrooms, tofu and tofu "skins" available to choose from. Over all a tasty, fulfilling dinner with a good amount of plant based protein. Take note - around 9pm the place is quite crowded. But overall a nice spot to come with friends or as a couple, just don't do a first date here🤣 also - ladies, don't be shy to ask for a hair net so you don't small like soup. Came here for supper after a drinking session. Nice chinese style individual hotpot with conveyor belt. Great atmosphere even at 1am in the morning. Restaurant was still bustling with quite a number of people having their supper as well.

There are details on the belt at your own seat showing the cost. Soup base 49baht, self-service sauce 30baht. Coloured skewers, clips and plates at different pricing as well. Purple - 5baht Green - 10baht Orange - 20baht Red - 30baht Black - 50baht. Have also included a list of the soup bases available. Drink list and prices are on the fridge.

Spent about 350baht in total for both food and drinks. Left feeling full and satisfied. The pork bone soup that I went for was good. Overall a satisfying and well-worth place for supper, especially after drinking.
