BRING MOSQUITO REBELLENT!! (especially if dining in the evening) The restaurant is open air - (no AC) with seating consisting of beautiful free form wood tables and chairs, surrounded by greenery. They specialize in Som Tam - northern Thai salads - and offer a large variety of delicious fragrant and refreshing salads. Our favorites were the corn salad and the fermented rice vermicelli. Do order some of their delicious grilled meat to go with the veg - the PORK NECK!! The meat was tender, smokey and the star of the meal. Love the laid back family vibes - to do again if we’re back in town.

The local tuktuk drivers recommended this place for somtam. The place was full of people when we arrived but didn’t have to wait long for a table as there were around a hundred seats available. The restaurant seems clean although the place was really busy during the afternoon. Water and vegetables were self-serve. There were a variety of somtams to choose from. I tried the avocado and salted egg which was a good combination except it tasted a little sweet but still tasted good. Recommend ordering the grill chickens. Parking available at the front of the restaurant.

The place itself is cozy and lovely, stuff is friendly. The portions of most of the dishes are really huge! Taste is good, but if you're a foreigner and you wanna spicy food, you should specify that, preferably in Thai, otherwise they will make it not spicy at all for you. Plus, the water from the sealed bottle got a little foamy after pouring it into those orange plastic glasses from the self service shelf, and I think those glasses weren't washed good enough. Just pay attention to it... Although I'll probably come back someday when I want Isan food.

Som tum restaurant with a slightly too mild taste. The restaurant has a good atmosphere with a spacious area inside. The service is all self-service, including dishes, cutlery, cups, and even sauce. You also have to take your order paper to the staff yourself. The taste of the food is too mild for me. Even though I ordered the normal level of spiciness, I felt no spice at all. Many dishes are also very sweet. Even the crispy chicken skin is sweet, which is unusual since it normally shouldn't be sweet.

OMG! Love this place. The solid wood furniture with great carvings and the deliciously grilled chicken at the front is just so attractive. The grilled chicken is so juicy, so soft and so tasty, we ordered seconds and thirds! Never imagined myself trying bib Gourmand fruit salad, but I have no regrets! Please remind them to make everything less spicy, because even as a chilli lover, it is spicy! The drinks are great too (smoothies and all). Just have the papaya salad and chicken! They are marvellous!

Som tum fans will love this place.They sell many different versions of som tum ( papaya salad) at this restaurant. The papaya salad was simply irresistible and spicy. The grilled chicken and grilled pork is good too. Tried the grilled catfish this time. But regretted it instantly. It was tasteless and the meat was tough and rubbery. You can help yourself with the vegetables and sauce at the station. It's a pity they do not provide water anymore. Overall, it's a pleasant dining experience.
