I had been eyeing this place on Google maps for a few days so this morning I walked the 2mi from my hotel just to go here. I ordered water, a smoothie, a mocha, eggs and bacon. The waitress wrote everything down but they still managed to forget two items. I eventually got up and asked for a water. When they brought me only eggs I assumed the bacon would be coming out after. Finished my eggs and coffee and got the smoothie to go. I don't mind getting up to ask for something a restaurant forgets, but forgetting 2 items entirely is not very impressive. The eggs were mediocre. The mocha was decent, not great. Smoothie was okay, not the best. Presentation was lacking. Obviously service was lacking.
:::EDIT:::
If you're reading this trying to find a nicer place, the Mellowry Cafe & Art space has a great breakfast.

In response to the reply below:
Clearly I did not pay enough attention to the photos to understand there is not a focus on atmosphere or presentation of food. Clearly they agree with me it's not their focus.
I definitely ordered bacon. I understand what the "custom set" term means as I read it on the menu before ordering. It means you can order each item to create a custom breakfast. It does not mean that if you order eggs and bacon that because it's a custom set it doesn't come with bacon. I understand the printed receipt didn't list bacon, and I didn't pay for bacon. However I saw you write down bacon so maybe check your original order sheet? It's not my job to tell you how to run a restaurant though. You simply missed the bacon and the water then gave a misleading reply to try and save face on the internet. I kindly gave 3 stars evem though the food taste and service was 2 stars. I had to lower my rating to 1 star due to this reply containing mis-truths. If you can't listen to feedback from your customers then I seriously wish you the best. At least you have a never ending door of unsuspecting tourists so you'll probably do just fine, but maybe not as good as you...
Read moreThe food here is decent, but as other reviewers have mentioned the guy who works here (the owner I guess) is very rude. I came here with a few friends and he was extremely passive aggressive and overbearing the entire time. First I thought he just didn't like our table for some reason so I observed his interactions with other customers and saw that he was treating all the other tables with the same disdain and I could see that every time he left a table after having been rude to them, the people at the table would shake their head or look at each other in a way that clearly showed they were not happy with his attitude. He just made everyone feel very uncomfortable.
Just a few out of many examples: When ordering he told our table that we needed to make sure we were going to drink the water if we ordered it because he didn't want to bring us water and then see that we don't drink it. Then when he brought the water a girl at our table was trying to be nice and help distribute the glasses down the table to make things easier but he barked at her and told her to leave the glasses and that he would put them where they needed to be. One guy from another table walked up to the counter to order as they had been waiting a while, but the owner angrily told the guy to go and sit at his table and he would come take the order when he was ready. These are just a few out of many many examples and they may not seem like big things, but his attitude was so hostile and the way he talked to people was just so aggressive and condescending.
All in all it was a terrible and very uncomfortable experience eating here and we just couldn't wait to leave. I don't understand why someone would own a café when they seem to hate dealing with customers and treat customers so rudely. I am definitely never coming back here and I would be very surprised if any of the other customers would come back after the way he...
Read moreThe bagel and french toast were decent (though not as expected accroding to the craving review about the place). However, the guy (very likely to be the owner) made us feel so uncomfortable. He has such a hostile personality that I didn't expect from people in this business (well, I didn't expect you to be so nice and we know how the busy time is since we run the restaurant too. But had you behave to the extent that make people feel bad is something you should consider about). Btw, it was not even the busy time when we visited since there were only two tables including us. He lectured me that I should speak ONLY either Thai or English, just pick one. He then went on to teach us about the western culture regarding the sharing plate (we asked for the sharing plate, he gave us and said this is not what we do, well!). It seems nice for the content but the problem is not what he said, it is HOW he said is the most troublesome. As long as we don't see any sign that you sincerely consider our difficulty, we wouldn't risk to come to your place again nor recommend any friends of us. It's been almost a year since we went to your place. I just thought of your place so I checked and saw some review that have the same experience and yet the response from the business is still only to explain your situation - your side of story but not showing enough consideration for...
