Do not go if you’re a BROWN person.
We came to this restaurant with high expectations of food and service like we read from other reviews.
Unfortunately, we were disrespected and left disappointed.
We waited for 20 minutes for our table and placed our lunch order along with an orange juice.
Orange juice was delivered promptly but without ice after specifically asking for it. But that’s not a deal breaker. Drank it and waited for 40 minutes for our food.
The person next to our table came in 35 minutes after us. Placed his order and got the food in 5 minutes. Note that all we ordered was Basil fried chicken with rice, so not a complicated or time consuming dish to make. Next table ordered green curry and pad thai.
The people behind our table also had their food delivered along with the complementary fruit and coconut dessert that was mentioned in the reviews.
After an hour of wait, we didn’t even have cutlery or condiments on our table, forget about complementary fruit or food we actually ordered being served. At this point, we paid for both the orange juice and basil chicken we ordered and left without eating or being served.
If you’re brown, the sweet old lady will have trouble seeing you or treating you as a respectable customer. Her sweetness seemed reserved for white people. Everyone that came in after us and that got served was Caucasian.
Maybe their hate and disrespect for Brown skin runs so deep as to disrespect customers.
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Racial discrimination is the last thing one needs...
Read moreThis was our favourite place to eat in Chiang Mai! The lady who runs it is so friendly and made us feel like family on our first visit. She remembered us when we returned and gave us lots of little extras. She is an amazing woman who really cares. The food is so good and the prices honestly can’t be beat. 39 baht for a large plate of chicken pad Thai that you can barely finish. Our favourite was the 65 baht breakfast that included Eggs, toast and jam, a choice of bacon, sausage, or ham, and both tea and freshly squeezed orange juice. Every time we left it felt like we had just popped by to se my mom as it was such a comfortable atmosphere and we left with full bellies. Honestly our favourite reataurant in all of Thailand. We were there during the Songkran festival and it was so lovely to enjoy breakfast in the morning while looking out and families having so much fun with the water fights. It was such a nice experience in the sunlit room surrounded my windows and plants. Great service, great food, large portions, and...
Read moreReally good breakfast set for 65 baht The food was delicious! You can choose from different breakfast sets or add in or mix between different sides such as boiled eggs(19 baht for 2), yoghurt, rice, noodles, fried vegetables and much more. I ordered the american breakfast with coffee for 65 baht: 1 coffe(option of with/without milk), 1 freshly squeezed orange juice(the cup was full, but i just drank some before taking the photo😅), 2 slices of toasted bread, 2 eggs sunny side up, 2 slices of ham, 1 perfectly ripe banana, 1,5 passion fruit, jam, butter and her homemade coconut jelly which tasted so good! You can sit both inside with ventilation or outside. The lady working here is so sweet and talkative. She even gave me advice for where and when the best night markets are(Sunday night market) I will definitely come back again for more breakfast next time I'm nearby Edit: came back the day after and got more food for more than 100 baht but worth it! Day 2: water, Apple juice, two hard-boiled eggs, yoghurt with...
