The Little Sunday Café - Breakfast & Brunch — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

I found this charming little cafe back in early December. I should have written a review then but had a lot going on. Yes - the food is western-driven and yet, it was excellent! Sure, when in Thailand eat local. I get it. However, when someone creates a beautiful place like The Little Sunday Cafe with its charming and comfortable atmosphere, and then the food is excellent? So what if it's for tourists. There are plenty of places selling authentic Thai food all around and up and down every block. This place, when you want perfect fluffy waffles and fruit that is perfectly ripe? Excellent coffee and nice people? Bravo! When I come back to Chiang Mai, I'll def come back for those waffles - which, BTW, are better than many you would get in my hometown which is full of foodie...

Really cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Barbara which is a waffle with fluffy scrambled eggs and bacon. The waffle was perfection. Eggs were as advertised... Very fluffy. And the bacon is cooked more like the British and New Zealandanders and Aussies like their bacon... A little on the undercooked side. Americans like our bacon crispy so just be sure to ask them to cook your bacon a little longer if you are American. The menu says maple syrup but unfortunately it's really not. Which makes sense because real maple syrup would cost as much as my entire breakfast. All in all though it was really nice traditional western...

For days, I kept passing by this place. On my last morning in Chiang Mai, I decided to splurge a little and finally give it a try. I ordered Barbara’s Waffle (includes scrambled eggs and bacon, and a hot Thai tea with milk.

The waffle was good, but it got too sweet for me after a while so I couldn’t finish it. The bacon and eggs were delicious though, and I enjoyed the Thai tea.
