It's neither a cafe nor a club but a mix of a resto-bar with live music outside and a club area with a pool table inside. Been there a few times, both single and with dates. Chilled by the bar, the back tables, and the dance areas. When I came alone, I took and kept a table in the dance area for myself. The staff did not grumble at this and I did my part by buying 2 people's drinks for myself and sharing with a nearby group.
The 2 times i came in solo, I ended up making 2 groups of friends on 2 different occassions. People are friendly and it's fun to party here, although the dj sets kind of gets repetetive after a while (probably not an issue if you drink).
Be careful of the karaoke girls who party here often and want to take you to their clubs for an after party. Don't trust them as you'll get scammed. One of the nights was a biker night, it was really cool to see all the big Harleys parked outside and the bikers with their jackets having a good time.
I think the staff who take orders at the bar area aren't pro active. I waited like 5 minutes and they didn't even ask to take my order last time I came here. So I'll deduct 2 points.
I've also come here just to chill and drink some breezers "cafe" style. It's pretty chill. I think it has something for everyone so long as you are not literally looking to drink cappuccino lol.
This is mostly a 80% Thai place, maybe 10% Asians (i think Chinese/HK/korean), and maybe you can see a couple of farangs or indians now and then. A couple of times, farangs mentioned i have no social anxiety to be alone by myself in a thai crowd, but thai people are super chill.. Why would you have social anxiety? Everyone here is just having a blast and unlike some other bars i've never seen a bar fight break out here. The music/vibe is just that good.
There's plenty of parking space for cars and motorcycles here. The bouncers are also chill and professional here, and they check everyone's bags for...
Read moreI really like this place! There’s 2 branches (or imitators) in Singapore and it’s a well-known club/restobar in Chiang Mai, so I had to come here. First night I came a little earlier for dinner and I have to say the service was absolutely class. The waiters did not speak much English, nor do I speak much Thai, but they still did their jobs really well, helping me with refilling my glass, etc.
I had suki and some small bites and they were really good. I was expecting something perhaps overpriced but the bowl of suki was delicious and the serving was big. Obviously you could find cheaper food elsewhere but I definitely wouldn’t complain. There was also a live band.
Came back another night at a later time and it was more lively and became a club/a couple of clubs. The outdoor area played a style of music whereas the indoor area played another style. All in all, great vibes.
Street food carts outside also sold absolutely...
Read moreWhen customers are assaulted, bar staff only say "go home, go home. " At 2 a.m. on August 9th, I was punched in the mouth and bleeding inside Warm Up Cafe CNX. The bar staff escorted us to the door, where the assailant's friend struck me again on the left side of my face in front of the bar staff. The bar staff offered no protection or restraint. I requested to call the police, but they ignored me, simply telling the victim to "go home, go home." I went to the police station alone afterward, but the person who struck me fled Chiang Mai and offered no apology or compensation. The bar staff's attitude during this incident was deeply disappointing. I later requested an apology and compensation, but they ignored me. Does this bar have any respect or protection for...
