Crown Massage — Local services in Chiang Mai Province

We visited this spa as a couple around 1 PM on a Thursday, without an appointment. Although we were accommodated, I would recommend calling ahead as there were patrons waiting when we finished our session. The receptionist was friendly and spoke English, making the check-in process smooth.

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the place. While it may not be as luxurious as some of the spa centers we’ve visited, the quality of service more than made up for it. Both of our masseuses were excellent—mine was Hana, who did a fantastic job, and my husband’s masseuse was equally skilled, though I didn’t catch her name.

One aspect we particularly appreciated was the professionalism of the masseuses. They focused entirely on their work and didn’t engage in small talk among themselves, which is something we've encountered at other spas. They checked in with us regularly to ensure we were comfortable, which was a nice touch. Their ability to communicate in simple English was helpful as well.

We opted for a 2-hour foot/body/herbal hot massage for 900 Baht, and it was a truly enjoyable session. A highlight for me was the head massage by Hana, which lasted a good 10 minutes—unexpected but thoroughly relaxing.

We also added a facial massage scrub and mask. While we didn’t find it particularly worth it since they aren't specialized in facial treatments, the way they massaged our faces and applied the mask did leave us looking more radiant afterward.

I came here with my partner two days ago to get a massage and I hesitated to leave a comment but it really was the worst experience we have had getting a Thai massage.

We chose this place clearly because of the good reviews and decided to book to give us both a traditional thai massage with Thai balm, they offered us a room for both of us and what a mistake…

When you go to get a massage you expect to be relaxed but it was practically impossible for us because our masseuses spent 50 minutes talking (the massage did not take an hour, just 50 minutes). It was impossible to be quiet and the worst part is when they started laughing among themselves, they stopped massaging us directly.

The Thai balm was barely used on the legs and a little on the back and the order was a totally meds. I have been to Thailand 5 times and I have had many massages so I knew the procedure and here I simply had a lady laughing, going from my legs to my arm or my back without any kind of order, and ending the massage by slapping me on my head, they didn't even touch my neck.

It really was a shame because as we left the massage room we decided to discuss it with the girls at the reception and they didn't care, so we wasted time and money. I understand that we had bad luck (I’d like to think that), but not offering us any solution was what left us worst.

Anyway, we paid 350 for a massage that did not meet the agreed time, nor the use of the Thai balm, and even less the sensation of what it is like to have a...

My partner and I decided to get a massage at this place due to the numerous good reviews; unluckily for us it was the worst Thai massage of our lives even though we’ve probably had more than 10 in our lives after visiting Thailand for the 5th time.

-We paid for 1 hour and got 50m massage. -We paid for the herbal balm and during the first 20 minutes we didn’t receive any herbal balm and afterwards only a little bit on our legs and back. -The worst part of the massage was the continuous chatting and laughing of the women while getting the massage which was stopped several times due to their talking.

All of the above mentioned was a big issue for us but the worst came when we spoke with the receptionist about it and all they did was: “Sorry, 700baht”

I would’ve love to pay 700 baht or more for a good proper and relaxing 1 hour massage with Thai Balm, (not 50 minutes with chatting and almost no balm)
