A very enjoyable meal with pleasent staff and a great setting.

The location is in a very busy area but as you move into the premises that all fades away and it feels like a lovely secluded area. A really great setting and it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Possibly the highlight of the experience.

The staff were very nice and quite accommodating. They could certainly improve a little but there were no particular issues.

My wife and I found the food to be a little lacking for the price, but this opinion was not shared by everyone at our table. Perhaps the issue was just how good the starter was as it set the bar so high. We had the gravlax to share as a starter and it was by far the most delicious thing I tried that evening! I highly recommend it, absolutely spot on. I had the sirloin for the main, at 995 baht, it's 250g and comes with your choice of sauce and side. The steak was cooked very well and the charcoal flavour was fantastic, it's the sides that let it down. As you can see from the photo, that carrot was quite sad and lonely bless it. I understand making the steak the main focus but I think they missed the mark here. I regret choosing the garlic potatoes as my side, as the ones under the visible top layer were overcooked. I tried my father in laws potato gratin and it was absolutely superb! I really wish I had decided to go with that instead as it complimented the steak incredibly well.

So overall, it was a bit of a mixed bag when it came down to the food. There were some really incredible things that were drastically let down by some sub-par things, which is a shame considering the price. I'm not sure I would go again in a hurry but we had a nice time...

We went to this restaurant because a friend recommended it. First the negative. I and 2 others ordered the “low and slow” cooked pork ribs. The ribs themselves were a good portion, but they were cold! The ribs were so tough, it was like eating jerky. They were super over cooked or put in a microwave and dried out. It was just bad. Even the small ear of corn that came with the ribs was cold, like refrigerator cold despite having burn makes from being cooked on a grill. We all sent back our ribs and ordered something else. Second time around I opted for the tacos and they were very poor. What little meat was on them was again, refrigerator cold. I sent them back and left without eating. After 4 different mains were sent back, a man I’m assuming was the owner came over to ask us what was wrong. He said the ribs were cooked low and slow for 10 hours. Ribs only need about 4-6 hours in a smoker, so that is probably why they were as tough as jerky.

Now for the positives. The decoration was very nice and the restaurant is located off the main highway away from the traffic and smog on a large grassy open area. A nice change from the usual cramped locations in the area. The two people who ordered steaks said they were very good, and to be fair they did look good. However, they didn’t bring proper steak knives to pair with the steaks. The pasta dish that was ordered was also pretty good.
