Chit Chat Corner (breakfast snack and bar) — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Had lunch at this place and loved it! It's a small setup run by a Thai couple. The lady is super friendly and kind. The food is really cheap. I ordered Tom yum prawn with rice and a banana strawberry smoothie. The Tom yum soup was ok- I'd asked for it to be less spicy and they agreed to my request. The 5 small shrimp wasn't very fresh and I wished there were more ingredients but for the price it was value for money. The banana strawberry smoothie was ok too- it had this artificial syrup taste to it which was strange but I did finish it. To end it, I decided to order pad Thai chicken as I'd skipped breakfast. The pad Thai portion was huge with large chunks of chicken- really good value and was yummy too. I couldn't finish the pad Thai and got them to pack some into takeaway for me.

overpriced compared to other local stores. Not even serve ice water for 120thb dish when it's pretty normal to serve it even for 70thb meal in other places. Not sure what's going on since this place is not even close to the beach.

Read a review tom yang ggoong is good, but it's just average with a shrimp that looks not fresh and not high quality. Rice not included. Other than 3 low quality shrimp there is nothing to eat other than the soup. One shrimp only had the head part. I guarantee you 60 thb noodle is more filling than this tom yang ggoong.

Don't get me wrong. the owners seem like nice and polite people. Interior is nice as well. Thus 3 stars.

Best food I've had in Thailand. Very friendly people! Also they know what vegan means and have tofu and can make pretty much every meal vegan. We came here almost every day during our stay in phuket or ordered from here via foodpanda, you can also write vegan or whatever you need there and they know not to put fish sauce in vegan or vegetarian food.
