Nanami Japanese BBQ Restaurant — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Wow .. wow .. wow .. I was surprisingly impressed by the quality and freshness of the ingredients and also their level of service, and honesty.

We stopped by the restaurant to reserve a table for dinner before going to beach club to watch sunset. Upon returning to the restaurant they still remember us and have the table we picked by the window ready and available for us to seat right away.

We ordered Kirin beer, sashimi, and wagyu set.

The beer was perfectly served ice cold, with frozen glass.

For the sashimi set we got tuna, salmon, yellow tail, and scallop. All of them was very fresh, high sushi quality grade, and served nicely on top of iced to keep them cold.

The wagyu set has variety of A4, A5 wagyu cuts coming from Japan, Sendai region. They are still using real charcoal to grill, which is rare nowadays. The yakiniku sauce was delicious, served with extra garlic and cut Thai chilis.

We really like the A5 Karubi and asked if we can just order more of that cut. The price of this cut is very expensive but the owner/manager graciously gave us 50% discount.

Now here’s the best part .. when we asked for check .. the total was around 4000B .. I just gave my cc and didn’t check the detail because I thought it’s already very good price for the meal we had. But later the owner/manager came told me that cashier made a mistake not giving discount to the second A5 karubi plate we ordered .. and gave me 900B back!

Located in Boat Avenue nearby the Laguna-area. I struggled a bit to make a booking as I couldn’t find a booking page. But I searched them up on Facebook and sent a message for a booking. Got a quick reply confirming my booking! They were also very helpful/flexible with changing the booking. Glad I made a booking as it was fullt booked on a friday night when the Fun Friday market was right outside the doors.

Super and quick service. The staff was very welcoming. We ordered the omakase wagyu and a couple of other dishes. Highly reccomend! Especially the wagyu fried rice, it was so tasteful. Fullt authentic and delicious wagyu to a ridiculous and reasonable price. They have lots of other dishes as well but the omakase set, some sushi and rice was plenty of food for three people as the beef is quite filling in the delicious taste.
