The Farmer and The Fisherman Porto de Phuket — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Given the service and vibe of the restaurant, my boyfriend and I thought the food would be excellent for Christmas Eve dinner. Wow was I wrong. I should have known when we ordered 5-7 dishes and they all came out at once in less than 15 minutes.

Every single food item, that should have been freshly cooked and hot, came out cold or lukewarm at best. The striploin steak was COLD because it was so thin and taken out of the fridge and seared only on the surface, and the mussels were lukewarm. The scallop salad was cold, like it had been just sitting in the kitchen.

Lovely and kind staff but the food is mediocre/not good, especially for its price, and seafood isn’t that fresh either....

It is uncomfortable to sit outside as the tables and chairs are not the right height for each other, there is also a toilet smell. There is very little space inside, and the seats are so dirty, as if they have not recently opened, but have been working for five years (although this should not be the case at all). Food is mediocre, nothing was really tasty. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 dishes each, while I was sitting hungry, both dishes were already brought to him. Food: very delicious. It's a fancy combination of traditional Thai food mixed with Mediterranean food. All taste very yummy. The portions are also large, so you will have a full stomach! My favorite dishes were Pineapple Fried Rice, Thai Tom Yam Paella, and Grilled Squid in Thai spicy sauce.
