TLDR: try their Pad Thai and smoothie!
One of the first things I noticed about Tu Kab Khao is the absence of an overpowering fish sauce taste that can often be found in many Thai dishes at other local restaurants. This was a pleasant surprise as it allowed the authentic flavors of each dish to shine through without overwhelming the senses. The balance achieved in the flavors demonstrates the skill and expertise of the chefs at Tu Kab Khao.
Speaking of flavors, the dishes at Tu Kab Khao offer a delightful journey through the rich and diverse culinary heritage of Thailand. From the aromatic curries to the Pad Thai with crab, each plate is a masterpiece of taste and presentation. The use of fresh ingredients and traditional Thai spices adds depth and complexity to the flavors, creating a symphony of tastes that leave a lasting impression.
In addition to the impressive array of savory dishes, Tu Kab Khao also excels in their selection of smoothies. The smoothies are a must-try and indeed live up to their reputation of being awesome. Bursting with refreshing flavors and made with quality ingredients, they are the perfect accompaniment to a spicy Thai meal or a refreshing treat on their own.
While Tu Kab Khao's prices may be slightly higher compared to other local Thai restaurants, the quality and diversity of their flavors more than justify the price point. The attention to detail and the commitment to using authentic ingredients contribute to a dining experience that is worth the investment.
In conclusion, Tu Kab Khao restaurant offers a delicious culinary journey through the flavors of Thailand. With its diverse menu, absence of overpowering fish sauce taste, and a must-try selection of smoothies, it is a worthy destination for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable Thai...
Read moreI recently visited here and unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience that left me feeling unwell. After consuming their food, I fell ill and had to seek medical attention at the hospital. I feel compelled to share my experience to alert others and caution them about the potential risks involved.
The main issue I encountered was with the quality of the food. Not only did it lack freshness, but it also had an unpleasant taste that was hard to overlook. I believe this could be a major factor contributing to my illness. Food safety and hygiene are paramount in any dining establishment, and it seems that these aspects were sorely neglected.
Additionally, the service I received was subpar. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, failing to address my concerns when I raised them. This lack of responsiveness only added to my disappointment and frustration.
I strongly urge the management to take immediate action to improve their food quality and adhere to strict hygiene practices. It's crucial to prioritize the well-being of their patrons and ensure that incidents like mine don't occur in the future.
While I understand that setbacks can happen, it is the responsibility of the restaurant to rectify such situations promptly and effectively. I hope my review serves as a wake-up call to make the necessary changes and regain the trust of...
Read moreLocated in Porto de Phuket, Phuket, Thailand, this is the restaurant that locals recommend in the Porto de Phuket area. We had the oven roasted pork for starters, followed by crab curry and pomelo salad for mains and for dessert, we had aiyu jelly with shaved ice. The roast pork was juicy tender with just the right amount of fat plus the accompanying sauce making the dish super yummy. We asked for a mid-spicy level crab curry. The curry was creamy and had large chunks of crab meat in it. The pomelo salad went perfectly with the curry, contrasting the curry with bursts of freshness. For dessert, the aiyu jelly with shaved ice was quite ordinary. Next time, we shall try the mango with glutinous rice, which was the other dessert dish the restaurant staff recommended. The restaurant is clean, with outside and inside seating. The staff were very polite and responsive to our requests or queries, happily showing us how the dishes should be served and eaten. The table next to us ordered a whole fish that was fried and that looked very good. The restaurant wasn't full but then again, it was a Monday night, so it is normal to have a quieter night then. Overall, a very pleasant meal in very pleasant surroundings with good ambience. Not the cheapest restaurant around, but well...
