Best Indian Restaurant in Phuket! Super tasty, authentic Indian food at a good price!

I love Highway Curry and will definitely be coming back more often. I first discovered this restaurant because they offer a wide range of completely vegan Indian dishes such as curries and salads.

This little gem can be easy to overlook at first, as there are several street food stalls in front of it – but it’s absolutely worth going in!

The selection of dishes ranges from various meat options and tandoori grill skewers to vegetarian and vegan specialties. One of our favorite starters is the onion bhaji – a clear recommendation! The salads are also fresh and super tasty.

Over time, we’ve tried many dishes from the menu, including the vegetable tawa, vegetable masala, chicken tikka, aloo paratha, gobi paratha, and several different vegan curries – and we’ve loved every single one of them! Everything is full of flavor, perfectly spiced, and tastes authentically Indian.

The staff are friendly and also provide reliable advice on vegan options. I’m vegan, so my husband and I mostly share vegan dishes. When he once ordered an Indian ice cream for dessert, the waiter kindly reminded us that it wasn’t vegan – he had remembered what we’d ordered before, which we really appreciated.

There’s something for everyone here – whether you’re a meat lover, vegetarian, or vegan. The prices are absolutely fair, and the quality of the food is consistently excellent. A clear recommendation!

Even after the restaurant’s move to Karon, right by the lake, it remains the best Indian restaurant we’ve found in 7 years of traveling through Southeast Asia.

Since February, we’ve been coming here every single weekend and are slowly making our way through the entire menu. Everything is just incredibly delicious and prepared with love and care.

The two waiters – brothers from Myanmar – are always so warm, welcoming, and attentive. We truly look forward to seeing them every time.

We had a great experience at Highway Curry. The food was excellent, full of authentic Indian flavours, and the location is perfect — easy to reach and very convenient. There's a good variety on the menu, and it seems like they prepare everything fresh. One thing I really appreciated was their willingness to customize dishes for my child — a big plus for families traveling with young kids.

The ambience is nice and clean, with a relaxing vibe. My only feedback would be for the staff to be a bit more proactive and welcoming. Thailand is known for its warm hospitality and smiles, and that energy seemed to be missing here. The staff looked a bit preoccupied or tired during our visit.

Overall, a very good dining experience — would definitely recommend, especially for Indian food lovers. A small upgrade in service approach could make this place...

Wanted to try Indian dishes after back to back Thai food and glad we went here. Off season in end sep and hence less crowd. We sat outside with view of the back waters and peace. Found parking right outside on main road. Staff speaks Hindi. We ordered butter chicken, dal fry and paneer tikka masala. Plus garlic naan and lacha. Taste was nice but quantity ok ish. However this is what we wanted and went back happy. Paid about 850 bhat for 4 adults and 1 kid. They even serve onion with green chilli like back home.
