Sutin Bar — Restaurant in Karon

My wife and I had 3 fun nights at this bar in Karon. We drifted across from the Aussie bar as this one has live music and a pulse, the Aussie bar is currently on life support. Band were great, girls were great, lots of free shots and free drinks offered and over the 3 nights we became “regulars” and treated very well. No need to be intimidated by the owner and her theatrics to encourage customers to come in, several did with worried looks on their faces but after 30 mins were having a good time. I am pretty good at Connect 4, but they are better, cost me a couple of drinks but who cares, these people have done it tough for 2 1/2 years and the place is still very quiet. Share the wealth around, tip the band, tip the girls, buy them drinks and you will be rewarded with friends for life. Wife says cocktails were great and the Magners cider is also very good. Look for the screaming owner trying to bail you up and the band, not far from the laneway to Two Chefs Restaurant. Good times we...

Absolutely quality bar.

Whilst on my 2 weeks stay, we came here 3 times purely for the buzz and continues live music.

The staff are incredible, no bothering, just happy to sit us. As soon as we were Sat, we were treated to a free shot of Sambuca. Then, 10 mins later, a lady was going round handing out free shots! Absolutely insane!!

The live bands were quality but basic, but I am not complaining, as they were full of energy and playing a mix of great music.

This is by far THE best bar around this area (imo) though that depends on what you are after.

Good band but 50% of people inside are employees and not genuine customers enjoying a night out. Felt the whole place was a bit shady. No problem if you're aware of the hard sale of drinks etc but if you're not then you could leave yourself to be very vulnerable. The bar tried every trick in the book to fleece you of money......constant top up on drinks, ladyboys if you're into that, thai girls if you're not.
