Yok Yor Marina & Restaurant (non buffet cruise)
I am of mixed reviews about the restaurants dinner cruise. My wife and i went there this evening with our 9 month daughter and my mother. We started with drinks in the restaurant while we waited to board the boat. The waitress was fantastic she was interacting with our daughter and looked after us really well however when we went to board the boat she was busy with another table the wait staff from the boat didnt come as assist us to board and we had to carry our own drinks, pram, baby bag onto the boat our selves. My wife had to ask the waiter watching us struggle to help carry the drinks.
My wife ordered a steamed rice for our daughter and when it arrived at the table it was cold and sick, the smell is that of rice that is off ข้าวบูด. We sent it back for a fresh serve.
The food however yummy was let down by the wait staff. I am ashamed to say that out of all of the Asian countries I have visited this was the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I was pouring my own drinks which I don't have an issue with however the table next to us was getting table service. We had to request to have the drinks refilled. the dirty dinner plates were left on the table and I carried the pram up the stairs and I attempted to carry it again down the stairs before the manager finally saw me and asked someone to assist me.

I recently dined at this lovely restaurant in Thailand and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The food was delicious, showcasing the rich flavors of Thai cuisine, and the staff were exceptionally pleasant, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The view of the river added a serene touch to our meal, creating the perfect ambiance for a memorable dining experience.
However, I did want to bring attention to something that weighed on my heart during my visit. I noticed a bird kept in an extremely small cage. As someone who runs an animal sanctuary, I felt compelled to express my concern. I believe it would be wonderful for the restaurant to embrace its Buddhist roots by demonstrating compassion towards all living beings, including this bird.
Birds are meant to fly and thrive in their natural environment. Providing an aviary where the bird can move freely, stretch its wings, and interact with other birds would greatly enhance its quality of life.
Overall, I truly enjoyed my time at the restaurant and hope that my feedback can inspire positive change for the beautiful bird I encountered. With a little more compassion, this restaurant could be a true haven for both humans and...
Read moreReturned here a year later. Same problem with taxi driver, drove us to the other restaurant outlet without cruise. Pls remind driver its at Tha Din Daeng Soi. Only the ฿1,200 Shiraz available this time. Food not as good as last time but ok. Still an enjoyable dinner.
Been to many dinner cruises on Chao Phraya river Bangkok. This is one of my favourite. It’s non luxurious nor pretentious. You pay ฿200 per person for the cruise and all the drinks and food are a-la-carte on menu. Very authentic Thai food and western food is available too. Reasonable priced. A bottle red wine ฿600-1,400. Steam whole sea bass ฿390, crab meat curry ฿160. New and big boat with totally open top deck, lots of tables and seats to choose. Not many tourists but quite popular with the locals. Note, there’s a Yok Yor restaurant 2 blocks away which is not the boarding place for cruise. Yok Yor Marina & Restaurant is the boarding place for dinner cruise. There’s a live band singing jazzy and soothing English, Thai and Chinese songs. Not like some other boats blasting with loud party music if you want some relaxing atmosphere. Definitely will return whenever...
