I visited this restaurant on 30 April at around 10pm with high expectations for good food and service. Initially, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff seemed accommodating. However, my experience took a turn during the billing process.
I specifically went to try the dahongpao milk tea but was informed at 11pm that the tea orders were closed as the staff were about to finish their shifts. Accepting this, I did not expect any drinks to be included in my bill. Surprisingly, when the bill arrived, it was in Thai, which I cannot read. Trusting the establishment, I paid the total and even left a tip.
Moments later, upon reviewing the bill outside the restaurant with the help of Google Translate, I discovered charges for items I had ordered but were not fulfilled, including charges for items I never ordered. When I returned to address this, the staff issued a refund immediately without much verification.
Regrettably, after leaving, I realized that the refunded amount appeared incorrect as well, with unfulfilled orders still being charged, alongside service charges and VAT.
While the staff were quick to address the billing issue, the whole experience was unsettling. I was disappointed with the oversight in billing accuracy and the lack of verification during the refund process. Potential patrons should be cautious of their bill and verify charges...
Read moreGreat hotpot! It had been ages since I’d had one, and it was my wife’s first experience with it. We left absolutely stuffed. A friend kindly treated us, so I’m not sure about the prices, but the quality was top-notch, even though portions were on the modest side. At the end, the staff offered us fruit, but we had to pass—we were that full! The cuts of meat were especially good, and each person got their own mini hotpot with three signature dipping sauces, which the staff was happy to prepare if you asked. The teas were also nice, with just the right amount of sweetness for anyone counting calories. The atmosphere was super chill, with soft traditional Chinese music in the background. I felt a bit nostalgic, knowing I can’t find this kind of meal back in India, but I hope to be back in Bangkok to enjoy it...
Read moreNewly opened Mala Hotpot in Marche. A bit crowded. Highly recommended to reserve table in advance.
Despite of a very good quality and fresh ingredients (meat, seafood, and vegetables) we founded that some vegetables that we ordered like Chinese spinach and cabbage were sad and unclean. Also we have a terrible experience with mala soup that we have ordered which has a very strong stale smell of an old oil that ruin the whole meal. The staff insisted that it is okay to eat and later admitted that there have some error inside kitchen then offering us free dessert.
I would rate 10/10 for service here. Friendly staff. Nice and calm. Also 10/10 for vibes. Very nice atmosphere and decoration.
Overall, I think this will be one time experience for me. You can find lots of other mala hotpot house...
