To start, how is this place 4.8 with 1.6 k reviews ? Did they buy the fake reviews? I have no idea.
Khao soi was literally 2 bites of noodles and the broth was so salty just lukewarm.
Spring roll was absolutely disgusting , the outside was rock hard and inside was all mushy , its spring rolls , how can you mess up spring rolls ?????
This is the first restaurants I see Charging for Ice as extra when I order a drink , I mean it’s not about the money , this is pretty standard and basic service should be included ice with drinks in Thailand ??? At the end they also charge 10% service charge , I’m not sure what service did I received ??
There was an older auntie taking our orders and she was looking around no paying attention , I have to repeat the order 3 times.
In the end , we paid 800 bhat ( £19) for 2 main dish , one side dish and 2 soft drinks ( no alcohol ) and walking out hungry in Thailand ? It’s just bizarre.
Do not come , tourist trap .
Update after they replied to my review :
The broth itself was salty without any additional seasoning . Worse of all it was lukewarm , because there is a risk of food poisoning. Then when I further read the reviews of this place , there are ppl who had food poisoning previously .
And No , it’s not a common practice to charge for ice when you order a soft drink I. Thai restaurants. I have never seen it on my bill EVER . This is most definitely the first time. It makes no sense , if the street food people can give you ice for free without charging 10% service charge , this restaurant can definitely not charge for ice ,...

Read moreA cosy spot tucked away just off Sukhumvit, this northern Thai eatery has all the makings of a local gem. Prices are fair, and the kitchen clearly has pride in its spice work. The broth was surprisingly nuanced, reminding me of a Toast Box laksa but with more warmth and layered heat. They could easily take it a few notches higher if they wanted.
Noodles were a strong point. Nicely cooked, not overdone, with the right spring. The beef, unfortunately, was the weak link. Tender-looking but had the chewiness of low-grade meat. Still edible, just not satisfying.
Atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, staff genuinely polite without the usual tourist-serving gloss. The whole vibe brought back memories of the north, where food and friendliness seem to go hand in hand.
Bonus points for the Chiang Mai Blossom Weizen beer. Light, floral, perfect with curry noodles.
This place isn’t perfect, but it’s got soul. Would return.
