This hotel looks charming from the outside, but the service is terrible, and the receptionist is extremely rude and unfriendly. I do not recommend staying here, and here’s why.
Our group consisted of five people with three separate bookings: one friend booked two rooms, another booked one room, and the third friend booked one room but hadn’t arrived yet. When we checked in, the staff made the process unnecessarily complicated. They handed over all three bookings, including the one for the friend who hadn’t arrived. When I pointed this out, instead of handling it professionally, the receptionist just stared at me with an unfriendly expression. When I glanced at her name tag, she abruptly said, “I’m A, the manager.”—even though I hadn’t asked. The way she said like she is the one giving the rule here and I have to keep quiet. For ke since she said she is manger i feel this is bad already because she is the one making everything complicated and ask many times for 1 question. Not professional at all.
This kind of attitude is completely unacceptable for hotel service. A manager should be able to arrange bookings properly, not treat guests with rudeness. The rest of the staff was no better.
The breakfast was disappointing, and when I requested water, I was told they don’t provide any before 11 AM. Room service is only available until 2 PM, which is highly inconvenient. When I had a delivery, I asked if they could bring it upstairs, but they refused immediately.
While the hotel itself looks nice, the poor service makes it feel like a budget hotel. The only reason I stayed was because it’s close to my favorite bar, but I will never come back. I will also warn others to avoid this place.
To the owner: If you’re running a hotel, at least hire staff who understand hospitality. Receptionists are the first impression of a hotel, and unfortunately, the ones here make it an...
Read moreStayed here for seven nights. At first we were assigned Room 2205. On our first "night" we went to bed at 7AM coming from a red eye flight. Check in was smooth even if we arrived at 5AM, and we got to have breakfast at 5:30AM. We were provided with earplugs, which we took as a bad sign. There was some noise from downstairs in the morning but we didn't mind.
On our second night, we started to hear loud music and yelling from the bar at the first floor, which was right below our room. It was incredibly distracting and I couldn't sleep until they turned off the music and closed the bar at 2 AM.
I went to the reception at 2 AM and asked for a room change. The receptionist on duty that night, A, said they were fully booked that night but could transfer us to another room after checkout. They asked us to pack up our bags and leave them in the room before heading out for the day.
Upon our return in the afternoon, the receptionist Apple showed us to a larger room in the first building on the third floor, which was a smoking floor, but we didn't mind this at all -- it's Bangkok, after all. :) The room was clean, had two balconies (one closed), a larger TV, and didn't smell like smoke at all. It also had a nice view of the skyline. Props to the staff for ensuring the rest of our stay was good! Would also like to commend the other staff at the lobby for their friendliness and helpfulness.
I think the only thing I didn't like so much about that room was the air conditioning -- it was either too warm or too cold. Giving four stars for our bad experience in the first 2 nights but for a great experience during the rest of our stay.
We would stay here again on our next trip to Bangkok but we will be very particular about the room...
Read moreWent for a 4 night stay for my birthday. It was overall one of the worst experiences staying in a hotel that I have ever had. I cannot begin to understand how it has such good reviews.
The main issue we had, and this was a big issue: there were rats and they destroyed my belongings! We heard strange noises during our last night at the hotel but couldn't see anything unusual. Woke up for find that my clothes/ shoes/ etc were damaged by rats and there were rat droppings on the floor.
We had free hotel breakfast included in the price of the room. The only good thing about it was that it was free. The hot items were cold. There were flies circling the fruits and the egg station. I had food poisoning during the trip although it's impossible to say whether it was from the hotel food.
The location is so-so: there are lots of restaurants, bars and massage parlours nearby, but about a half an hour's journey to the big shopping malls/ busy areas (for example, half hour hour to terminal 21, an hour to iconsiam). Not particularly close to any major tourist attraction that I'm aware of. The streets immediately around the hotel are small and rather deserted at night.
The hotel looks fabulous in the pictures, but in real life our room looked run down. The pool is tiny and right by the car park, as well as where people need to walk past to get to their rooms, therefore walking in outdoor shoes on the same decking that you would lounge and sunbath on.
We had to spend some time checking through all of our luggage on the last morning to check for pests/ damage, and therefore had to rush to the airport. I am waiting to see if the hotel management will get in contact as the front...
