Glig is a nice open cafe off the far reaches of Soi 49, there's an outdoor area in the front garden to relax in and the interior design is very modern and comfortable in that Scandi blonde-wood way that many modernn cafes have gone in for. They seem to specialize in choux pastry which is nice, except ours were almost flavourless. The biggest disapointment is their use of single use plastic cups for their iced drinks. Why they would do this in a world gone mad with plastic pollution is a mystery, it cheapens the drinking experience, adds nothing the highend feel of the cafe and creates a chain of rubbish that will never end. First visit a while ago was flawless, then came the second visit in early morning off-peak hour, which almost turn disappointed. Milk was scalding hot for a Caffe latte not the standard expected for such place and price. Went back to complain and was quickly fixed and new one was acceptable.
