Read moreMy visit to Brekkie, prompted by TikTok recommendations, left me feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. To begin with, the restaurant's location in a random residential area made it quite challenging to find, even for my Grab driver, who seemed confused. However, my evaluation is primarily based on the food, atmosphere, and overall experience.
On the positive side, the staff at Brekkie were friendly and could communicate in English to some extent. I ordered the banana peanut butter smoothie bowl, which was nice in flavour. However, the disappointment came when I received the bowl – it was so thin that it resembled soup rather than the thick and hearty smoothie bowls I've had in the past. What made it worse was that I was the only customer there, so there was no reason for it to be prepared so soupy, especially without a rush.
Another letdown was the juice shot I ordered. Unfortunately, they had run out of the "glow" juice shot, so I settled for the "blush" option. Considering the premium price of 80 BAHT, I expected a more impressive taste, but it was merely okay.
In terms of the restaurant's interior, it was well-decorated and pleasant. However, the empty atmosphere made me feel somewhat uncomfortable, especially since the waitresses seemed to be just standing around, staring at me. This lack of a welcoming ambience was particularly noticeable since I was dining alone.
All in all, Brekkie is one of those trendy places that get hyped up on TikTok. However, you can easily find better breakfast spots in Thailand that offer equally delicious food but at more reasonable prices. Paying approximately GBP 10 for this meal felt quite steep, considering the...

You see, Brekkie used to be a very good place, delicious food, great vibe and everything. But something changed, maybe a lack of interest from owners or maybe they just changed owners overall.
We got the baked eggs with tomato and bacon and avocado toast with salmon and a smoothie. Absolutely all eggs were not cooked correctly (uncooked!), clear egg, watery, etc.. the vaked eggs had 3 pieces of tomato, 1,0000 peas and almost no bacon. Poached egg watery as well.
Maybe they were just on a hurry and they made them as fast as they could (although there were only 3 tables in the whole place). When my baked eggs came back, now they were way overcooked.
Brekkie is a bit overpriced but Im happy to pay overpriced when food and atmosphere are worth it. I must say Service was fantastic, the girls were nice and attentive. But 1,000+ bht for uncooked eggs, plastic flowers, no A/C working in the hottest room, A/C working on the top room where we couldnt sit because it was closed. It was just a confusing atmosphere, not worth coming back.
BUT! If you insist on trying it, I highly suggest you to try the simple things that cannot go wrong like sandwiches and smoothies. Or just a coffee.
Hope...
