Their menu includes questionable items like whale bacon and whale tongue—things that are not only ethically problematic but potentially legally murky. While I understand that laws differ from country to country, it’s unsettling nonetheless.

Now, let’s talk about cleanliness. Dining at a table covered in crawling red ants is not exactly what you’d call a pleasant experience. It raises serious concerns about their hygiene standards, which are far from acceptable if you care about what you’re putting into your body.

I also had a frustrating interaction when trying to confirm the source of their salmon, as I have specific dietary needs and aim to eat wild salmon for its omega-3 content. When I first asked, the manager claimed the salmon was from Japan. But after pressing further, the waitress told me it was actually from Norway. When I asked whether it was farmed or wild, she couldn’t provide a clear answer. This kind of inconsistency only highlights their lack of transparency and disregard for customer trust. It made it clear to me that profits take precedence over honesty about the quality of their ingredients.

Fish was good apart from being served the tiniest little cuts of fish I’ve ever seen in a sushi restaurant in Bangkok, Japan, or anywhere else. However, that is not why I rate this restaurant so low.

The reason for 2 stars is for the service we received. The two young ladies who served us treated us less than human. Any questions we had about the menu seemed to be an annoyance to the server who took our order. She rudely tried to explain the menu but her lack of product knowledge was obviously why she became flustered. The other server who delivered our food was just as rude if not more so.

We walked of this place out with a bad feeling. I would only recommend that you hire better servers who make customers...
