Are you in Bangkok and looking for the staple, Mexican cuisine, tacos? If so, this could be the place for you.
Upon arrival I was happy to see a cute little restaurant located at the end of a small street where it was quiet and intimate.
The menu options here aren’t vast by any means, but it has all the dishes you would expect to find at a place like this.
We ordered: 1 x Carnitas tacos 1 x Al Pastor tacos 1 x Shrimp tacos 1 x Chicken quesadilla 1 x Gringas 1 x Guacamole 1 x Corona 2 x water
The gringas was probably the freshest tasting and best seasoned out of the bunch so I would recommend trying it if you’re torn between choices.
However, each dish was above average when compared to other Mexican food in Bangkok. I would like the meat to taste fresher and be seasoned better.
I come from a place where Mexican food is one of the most common cuisines so I feel like I’m a qualified critic. 😂
There is seating inside, but most of the seating is outside, which I like. A great place to go in the evening to have a few Tacos and Coronas.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was fast. Excellent.
💰An important point, which I can’t avoid, is the price. The above mentioned items cost more than 2,200฿. There were four of us and we could have all eaten more.
📍The Missing Burro is located about one kilometer (10 minute walk) from the Thong Lor BTS station.

FOUR STARS (Excellent) Superior. Memorable, high-quality food; good ambiance; efficient service;...
Read moreQuite a decent experience for a Mexican joint in the Thonglor area. Menu could be a bit confusing to navigate at first if you're expecting prices to be on the same page as the food photographed (here, prices are listed in the back). The service is excellent so you will not be disappointed by the staff at least.
In my three visits, here are the things I would recommend: order the 'Carnitas' if you're hungry and are looking for value-for-money kind of deal. For the same reason, DO NOT order the quesadillas - you'd be surprised to find just two pieces of cheese quesadillas on a platter for the price of 180 baht. A bit hard to justify that to my friends at the table... So, as much as I'd like recommend The Missing Burro to anyone, the quesadillas portion threw me off. I would still gladly recommend the restaurant for their service and taste...just with an added footnote of "don't expect the food portion to match their price".
Edit: The owner seems to reject customers reviews that are less than five stars (see other reviews). It's disheartening to see he would spend his time fighting with customers online instead of improving his business. Corrected for 2 stars.
P.s. Don't order...
Read moreIt was pretty good. The place is cool. Made out of 18 Wheeler containers, 🤣🤣. Very Mexican feel🤣🤣. Nah, but it's done up nicely, unique, I guess you could say. Good atmosphere, casual, comfortable. Staff was really friendly, spoke good English. Attentative. Food was pretty good. Carnita tacos were great. Straight up street tacos, what more can you ask for? Large portions. I wasn't even hungry but polished all of them off!! Quesochorizo thing was pretty good. Tortilla soup, not so much. Oh, and I almost forgot, this comes from the owner directly "THIS IS NOT AMERICAN TEX MEX!! THEY DON'T SERVE BURRITOS!!!" 😂😂😂😂 But they do do serve CHIMICHAINGAS! 🤣🤣😅😅😏 Apparantly, if the CHIMICHAINGAS are sweet, they're MEXICAN! SWEET CHIMICHAINGAS =MEXICAN 😂😂😂 VIVA MEXICO🇲🇽🇲🇽🤣🤣 The F--kin Margaritas are pricey!!!!! I think we had 3 ptures and it was like 3500 baht. They tasted pretty good, but pricey!! Over all I liked the place and wouldn't have a problem returning! 😁 Oh, and sh----t, I'm always down with any place that has memorabilia from the greatest baseball team in...
