Suppaniga Thai Restaurant, which has earned Michelin stars multiple times, came highly recommended. Located next to Thonglor 8, the front entrance is unappealing, but I'm glad we gave it a try.

The food lived up to its reputation. The crab curry was exceptionally delicious, large chucks of fresh crab. The pork red curry was also delightful, with tender meat and a well-blended curry.

The highlight of our meal was the Tom Ka Pla, typically made with chicken but here prepared with sea bass. It was fresh, perfectly balanced with spice and sweetness, and a dish worth trying. Kids love it.

Son is laws eggs are good to have at anytime.

On the downside, the chicken wings were not as impressive as those at other Thai restaurants. My son had high hopes for the crab omelette, but it fell short—it was hard, not fluffy, and lacked flavor.

Overall, the food was delicious ,though portions were relatively small and on the expensive budget side. Some curry dishes that should come with rice noodles were out of stock, and they didn't offer rice as a substitute. Given Thailand's reputation for quality rice, the rice served here was disappointing. Come on, no rice berry rice 😝

The staff were not very attentive, delivering dishes but then leaving us alone without checking for any extra needs. This level of service seemed below what one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Unfortunately, we couldn't try their reputedly excellent drinks due to the Buddha Day long holiday, during which alcohol is not served.

Despite some drawbacks, the overall experience was positive, and the quality of the food makes it...

Food and dining experience was considered okay (as many other reviews have pointed out its prices are on the steep end). However I would like to point out that I got a very severe allergy after my dinner with them that night (I had the crab appetizer, prawn pad thai and mushroom soup). I have never had seafood allergy and this was my first allergy for any type of food for that matter. It was such a severe reaction that my whole face and body was swollen in patches (I later learned the condition is called urticaria) within 15 minutes of finishing the meal, I had to rush myself to the ER which was fortunately 10 minutes away. I recovered in a few hours at the ER after given steroid injections, and my swelling subsided the next morning.

I raised this to the management team and there was a back and forth in emails, they offered to try and reimburse me for the doctor’s fee and my meal but in the end they didn’t for both because allergy was considered as a “personal condition” according to their insurance. I have not had any reaction to seafood again when I patronize other restaurants (in and outside of Bangkok), so I’m not sure what happened there too.

I thought to point this out to see if there are any other people with similar experiences. As you can imagine I’m very taken aback with this dining experience, given that I have never had a seafood or any food allergies for that matter. If this is a one off thing, then it could just be bad luck, but in case there is someone out there with a similar experience then I hope this would shed some light to the situation. Thank you and...

🍲✨ Supanniga Eating Room: A Taste of Thai Elegance 🥘🌺

Supanniga Eating Room in Thonglor was a feast for the senses. Each dish we ordered was a delightful showcase of authentic Thai cuisine. 🌟🍃

We kicked things off with the Son-in-Law Eggs. These little gems were a mix of sweet and tangy flavors, wrapped up in a crispy exterior. A perfect start! 🥚🍯

Next, the Green Curry Look Chin Pla Krai offered a unique take on green curry. The fish balls were perfectly seasoned and the curry was rich and aromatic. 🍛🐟

Pu Jah, a creative concoction of steamed crab and pork in crab shells, was as delicious as it was inventive. Every bite was a delightful surprise. 🦀🍤

Tom Yum Goong delivered a spicy and sour punch. The prawns were tender and the broth was bursting with flavor, making it a standout dish. 🍲🌶️

The Pad Thai with Crabmeat & Crab Roe was exceptional. Rich in flavor, the crab added a luxurious touch to this classic dish. 🍜🦀

We ended our meal on a sweet note with the Thai Tea Panna Cotta. Its silky texture and rich Thai tea flavor made it a perfect dessert to round off our culinary journey. 🍮🍵

Dining at Supanniga Eating Room was more than a meal; it was a vibrant journey through Thai culinary heritage. Can't wait to...
