Shoutaian 2nd Rich — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

Solo dining! Thankfully the staff kindly accept one person reservation request for Sunday night (This visit from 2 years ago).

I got to meet the owner right at arrival. He was very friendly, also accept my custom drink request. There's only cold beverages available but I asked for hot green tea, for a good reason. Imagine what cold drinks will do to your body while eating intensely rich A5 wagyu. You won't be able to eat much.

Celebrity course is the path I chose. If you crave authentic A5 wagyu, why not go all in, knowing this will be the most exquisite AYCE A5 beef you can find in Thailand.

90 minutes limit timer definitely reasonable, especially for people with great appetite. I end up consumed various type of A5 wagyu worth of 3 people meals all by myself.

5 second Jo-rosu, Jo-karubi, Best ever sirloin steak, Best ever wagyu jo-rosu, Shimofuri sukiyaki. All these dishes I mention were absolutely magical in different ways. Seafood items like tiger prawn and scallop also very fresh!

Passion fruit sorbet also my personal favorite dessert to eat between this heavy greasy meal. Refreshing sorbet allowed me to refresh my tastebud, so I could eat more wagyu.

Overall 2580++ baht for the most extravagant course of different cuts from the best A5 wagyu, roughly $90. Definitely the best deal I ever found so far. Feels like I was back in Japan.

I came back again about a year later. The quality of A5 wagyu went down quite a bit, also less options. While seafood doesn't taste as good like my first visit. But I guess that's how it is in restaurants business. Still, gotta give them 5 star because of how perfect my first...

Bad Experience – Would Not Recommend

Last week, I dined at this restaurant and chose the Kuroke Wagyu buffet course. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience, and I would not recommend it to anyone for the following reasons:

Warning 1. Slow Service – The food arrived very slowly. Each order took around 10 minutes to be served, despite the buffet having a 75-minute time limit (last order).

Warning 2. Incomplete Orders – I ordered multiple items, but not all of them were served. While I understand that some dishes might have been unavailable, all my meat orders were combined onto a single plate (exactly 1 plate for 10 mins), which took less than three minutes to grill.

Warning 3. Poor Dining Experience – The meat tasted okay, but I ended up waiting over 50 minutes for my food instead of being able to enjoy the full 90-minute dining period. The slow service significantly impacted the experience.

Warning 4. Buffet Feels Inefficient – This restaurant would be better suited for à la carte dining rather than a buffet. It seemed like they were intentionally slowing down service, possibly to limit how much customers could eat.

Overall, I was very unhappy with my visit and want to warn others before choosing this restaurant; however, I do appreciate that the staff provided...

Oh man the food here was AMAZING 🤩! The Fuji Hime set definitely stole my heart and I can’t wait to try out the other sets!

It was our first time dining here, and we went for the FUJI HIME set to taste it out 😋.

We went there around noon on a weekend without a reservation, and got seated swiftly into a private room.

It was a 90-min buffet which was timed since the arrival of the first dish.

My favorites were the raw meat, different tongue cuts, the wagyu steak, and of course the salads (super important to balance out the greasiness !!!)

The overall experience is great as the meat was SUPER fresh, the service was QUICK, and they offered PRIVATE rooms for each party — an absolute perk! The only downside is that the dessert options were pretty limited, but you can’t have all the pies 😆!...
