I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Ryoku Cafe, nestled in the bustling Sukhumvit 35 area of Bangkok, and I must say, it offered a delightful escape from the city's vibrant energy. This isn't your typical tourist trap; it felt like a genuine local spot with a focus on quality and a relaxed atmosphere. Stepping into Ryoku felt like entering a tranquil garden. The cafe boasts a charming, minimalist white decor that's beautifully complemented by lush greenery both inside and out. It genuinely felt like a little oasis, a perfect spot to unwind. I noticed quite a few people seemed to be locals, some catching up with friends, others working quietly on their laptops – a testament to the cafe's comfortable vibe. While the ambiance was certainly a highlight, the food and drinks were equally impressive. I decided to try their egg Benedict poached on thier japanese bunns signature and they lived up to the hype. Light, airy, and incredibly fluffy, they practically melted in my mouth. I opted tiramisu for a dessert which was a lovely combination of savory and delicate flavors, a nice departure from the usual sweet pancakes. The portion was generous too, making it a satisfying brunch option. I also enjoyed coffee a smooth latte. They have a good selection of both coffee and non-coffee beverages, catering to various tastes. The service at Ryoku was also noteworthy. The staff were attentive, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. They were efficient without being intrusive, allowing us to enjoy our meal and conversation at our own pace. The prices were perhaps a little higher than some other cafes in the area, but considering the quality of the food, the pleasant ambiance, and the location in a relatively upscale part of Sukhumvit, I felt it was reasonable. Overall, my experience at Ryoku Cafe was a very positive one. It's a charming spot with delicious food and drinks, a relaxing atmosphere, and friendly service. It felt like a genuine neighborhood gem, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and satisfying cafe experience in Bangkok. It’s a place I’d...
Read moreRecommended for those who want to take photos while enjoying delicious pancakes and drinks in a quiet and lush environment despite being in the heart of Bangkok.
It is located at the end of the soi at the end of EmQuatier, away from the hustle and bustle of Phrom Phong, in a stylish cafe with a lush and flowery garden.
I recommend the pancakes for dessert. The pancakes are soft and fluffy. The pancakes are not too sweet, but they are very well made. The pancakes can be enjoyed with fresh cream and ice cream for a different taste. Butter is also served, but I think it is more of a pancake that goes well with maple syrup or other sweet sauces.
If you like to eat them with butter, you may want to ask for them to be cooked a little harder.
For coffee, you can also choose specialty coffee. I think it is a regular drip brewed coffee, but it has a lighter taste and aroma. If you like it strong, you may want to ask for it beforehand.
The other drinks are well made with a very beautiful finish to their appearance. The taste is also very sweet and delicious.
The staff and service are very good. Everyone is very nice and friendly.
The price is a little high, but I think it is reasonable considering the location and the taste.
Overall, I can conclude that Ryoku Cafe is a very good cafe that can meet all your...
Read moreThe food and drinks are way overpriced for the quality both of ingredients and taste. Drinks look good in pictures but the taste is not there. Being mostly sugary syrups. Frankly, this place is just popular for people going there and taking photos of colourful looking drinks for Instagram. Which then tells how artificial the flavours are based on the colour. On my last visit I ordered the strawberry sparkling drink. I had 2 sips and could not drink it. It was just so sweet and fake flavour that I didn't find it worth it putting such in my precious body. 🥲 Having tried at other times the coffee and other fizzy drinks, the quality for the what is advertise it's just not there. I have to say the cafe is cosy and quiet enough if you want to study or have a conversation with friends (which was the reason for my 2nd visit here). The saddest part was to get the bill later. And seeing the price for a drink I could not drink or enjoy. I usually give a place at least 2 visits so I can make a proper assessment, especially if the first time wasn't very convincing. After this last visit, I concluded I part my ways with Ryoku. There are so many other places in the area with better quality drinks and food and a much...
