Yesterday was honestly just very disappointing.. Its no personal attack on the staff or my stylist. However I feel that my wishes on how I want my hair colored or my hair cut wasnt understood or maybe its a lack of proficiency. I came yesterday to the salon to color and cut my virgin hair, I trusted the reviews. I wanted a cool tones slightly lighter hair color, no bleach, no warm tones, no red or orange, just a slightly lighter brown that doesnt make me washed out. For my hair cut I showed the reference in the pictures , I wanted layers and my hair to be less heavy. Not only did they color my hair with the wrong color, which turned out orange and them trying to convince me that its only orange because of the warm light in the room, it also had to be colored again, meaning two times itchy chemicals on my scalp… and extra hours to fix the mistake. The haircut wasnt truely better, my stylist tried but he kept saying “ u have alot of hair” yes which was obvious from the beginning. It seemed like they were to overwhelmed with my hair and didnt know what to do with it. The haircut turned out frizzy and still heavy, the “blowout” was just bushy and nothing about it was straight. I came at 4pm and left at 8pm, having to cancle my dinner plans with friends and with a haircut and color im not happy with. On top of that to not reduce the price for the mistake , extra chemicals on my hair and extra time I had to be there was just more dissapointing. I soent 7400 baht which is 200€ and It was definitely not worth that amount. I woke up this morning just crying as I look super washed out and my hair just being all frizzy and my scalp just flaky and dry from all the chemicals used. The staff and stylist are friendly but It just didnt match my expectations that were promised to me and there was a lack of proficiency.. I wish I returned to the salon I did my original hair cut from my reference in Malaysia but I really trusted that I could get it done...

I wanted to like this salon. It is beautiful, professional, and clearly well regarded online. The staff were kind and polite, but my actual service experience was rough.

I specifically booked and paid for a senior stylist, but two junior stylists handled most of my color and styling. I was hit in the face multiple times during color, and the blow dry was honestly one of the most overwhelming experiences I have ever had. Two people pulling and blow drying my hair at once, hair in my face, heat and noise everywhere. Maybe that is fine for some people, but for anyone who is neurodivergent or sensitive to sensory input, this is not the salon for you.

During the straightening portion, both stylists burned me multiple times with the flat irons, including once on my forehead. That should never happen at this level of service, especially under a senior stylist booking.

The senior stylist briefly checked the work but did not actually touch my hair, which makes the senior stylist charge feel misleading. I did not have the energy to argue, but I left feeling more like I survived the appointment than enjoyed it.

The total cost was over 300 USD for a keratin treatment and one plain hair color, which feels completely unreasonable given the service quality. I truly feel like I was overcharged for what I received.

Before heading back to the U.S., I really wanted to get a Korean digital perm, and after tons of research on TikTok, Instagram, and Google reviews, I finally decided on Bella Beauty Vibes. It was a tough choice since I had three salons in mind, but I’m so glad I went with this one!

Booking was super easy. I found their information on Instagram and contacted them through the Line app. They do require a 2,000 baht deposit to secure your appointment.

When I arrived, I was greeted by the senior stylist, Jun, who was absolutely amazing. He didn’t speak English, but there was a translator present the entire time, so communication was smooth. I was a little nervous since I had some highlights on the ends of my hair, but Jun handled it like a pro. I trusted his expertise and was open to whatever style he recommended, and I appreciated that he gave his honest opinion on what would suit me best.

The entire appointment took about 3.5 hours, and Jun was incredibly thorough. He explained every step of the process and made sure I understood how to maintain my hair after the perm. I also watched him work on other clients during my visit, and he did an amazing job with color, clearly very skilled and precise.

Overall, I’m so happy with how everything turned out. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Thailand. Highly recommend Bella Beauty Vibes, especially if you’re looking for that soft, natural...
