Opera Italian Restaurant in Bangkok is a hidden gem that truly lives up to its name. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The place itself is amazing, boasting a charming and elegant interior that perfectly complements the delightful cuisine.
One of the first things you’ll notice is the exceptional service. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing a top-notch dining experience. Their recommendations were spot-on, making our meal even more enjoyable.
The menu at Opera Italian Restaurant is a culinary journey through Italy, with a wide variety of dishes that cater to every palate. The portions are generous, ensuring that you leave with a satisfied appetite. The fresh oysters were a standout, perfectly shucked and bursting with flavor. They were a refreshing start to our meal and set the tone for what was to come.
The pizza at Opera is nothing short of spectacular. The crust was thin and crispy, with just the right amount of chewiness, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Each bite was a delight, making it clear that this is one of the best pizzas you can find in Bangkok.
Complementing the fantastic food is an excellent cocktail menu. The bartenders at Opera are true artisans, crafting cocktails that are both visually stunning and incredibly delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic cocktail or something more adventurous, you’re sure to find a drink that hits the spot.
To round off our meal, we indulged in the tiramisu, which was simply divine. The balance of flavors was perfect, and the texture was light and creamy, making it the ideal end to a fabulous dining experience.
In summary, Opera Italian Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Bangkok looking for an exceptional Italian dining experience. From the amazing ambiance to the big portions, excellent cocktails, fresh oysters, delicious pizza, and delightful tiramisu, every aspect of this restaurant is designed to impress. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a...
Read moreI've been here to celebrate my friend's birthday, but I'm quite disappointed with the service. 😞 I arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes early and went to the table I had reserved for 6:30 pm. I went to the 2nd floor to take some photos since there were no other customers there. However, after just 10 minutes, a staff member told me, "Sorry, this restaurant doesn't allow the use of flash cameras."
But when I went to my table and read other reviews, most customers said, "This restaurant is good and decorated with champagne and wine bottles that make it look so luxurious. When you take a photo with flash, you get the best pictures!" After reading these reviews and showing them to my boyfriend, who was taking photos for me, we wondered why other customers could use flash, but we couldn't. When my friend arrived and heard about this rule, she was quite unsatisfied, especially when she saw other tables taking photos with flash cameras just like we did. 😂
I had reserved the table and informed them that it was my friend's birthday because they mentioned having a complimentary set to celebrate birthdays. However, after we finished eating, the birthday set never arrived, and we waited for too long. I asked a staff member about this service, and another staff member came to our table and asked, "Do you want some dessert?" I assumed she meant the complimentary service because I had just asked another staff member about it. When I said "yes," she asked, "What do you want?" I was quite confused, and she said, "If you didn't order dessert, the complimentary cake is just a small cake," even though I had already informed them about the birthday when I reserved the table. My friend, the birthday girl, heard everything and was quite upset.
When we went to check out, the same staff member said, "Your bill does not reach 3,000 THB." She recommended that I order a coke to meet the minimum bill amount. We were quite confused because no one had informed us about this minimum charge when we made the reservation or when we ordered.
Overall, I am quite dissatisfied with...
Read moreBooked a private room for 20 pax last Friday August 9. Horrible service with instagrammable ambience + great food.
AND THE NIGHTMARE STARTED FROM HERE.
No AC, super hot - private room door had to be WIDE OPEN because it was just so hot. For a venue with nice interior, AC would be very basic. But they didn't have it.
Slowest service I have ever experienced ANYWHERE first glass of wine took about 20 min till it arrived; there were 18 of us; and all our mains arrived at different times for 2 hours with an interval of 15-20min; some guests ate at like 730pm, other guests ate at 830pm, and the last batch ate till like 10pm; If we wanted to eat all at different times, we wouldn't have booked, we would all just eat on our own!
Illogical Food Serving Order Ordered steak for sharing whilst all guests had their own main The steak arrived at like 930pm when everyone was DONE eating *Note that the tomahawk steak was the FIRST MAIN DISH we ordered.
We paid THB60K for absurd service, untrained staff, and heated room.
I'm just glad that none of my guests walked out of the dinner. I complained during the dinner MULTIPLE times. The only thing I heard was "sorry all guests came in at the same time". Definitely not acceptable. What is the point of reservation if you did not know we were coming?
In fairness, the food was great. However, this place wins as the least professional place I have eaten in the past years - and my list includes food stalls.
