The Iron Fairies Music Bar Bangkok — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

The Iron fairies dragonfly (Central Eastville) is a good restaurant, nice place, with good music and food but their internal management and communication are terrible.

I went to the restaurant on Jan 4, 2018 with my friends. I booked 4 seats at 6 p.m. (can be late for 30 minutes), according to condition of 50% discount from the Eatigo website. I and my 3 friends were there at 6 p.m. and my additional 2 friends will join us later. So, we asked for booking more 2 seats with a new table next to us by paying full price. The waitress arranged our seat per our request.

However, the cashier said “if you are not happy, you can go to other restaurant and come back to use the discount later”. We really felt like we got kicked out from this restaurant. We were so disappointed but I also had to dine in this one as we had made appointment to our coming 2 friends.

So, we ordered our food and enjoyed it. At 7 p.m., a waitress came to check bill without any asking. We were shocked. The same cashier said “if the other 2 friends come, they would not get the 50% discount and she limit our time to order the food with 50% discount”. There was no such a condition on our 50% discount from the Eatigo website!!! It was the second time I felt like they wanted us to leave. By the way, we ordered more food and paid our bill.

At 8 p.m., the 2 friends came to join us. We thought we already paid our bill, so it would be ok for them to join our table and ordered their food with their new bill (full price). The waitress didn’t allow us to do so. We were confused again. I did pay our bill and they wanna have more food with the full price. I think they should be more flexible and had a better...

I once visited an exhibit in a science museum in San Francisco - where you enter a enclosed dome through a tiny gate in front and objective is to navigate with your senses and come out from the other end without getting lost through dark space with full of ladders, steps, ropes and tunnels. When I visited Iron Fairies that's exactly what it reminded me of. I thought I liked dimly lit and cozy places but c'mon this is rather silly. Looks like they have gone a bit overboard with the theme here. It looks like a dungeon - if you can see anything that is ...haha. Hodgepodge of rickety chairs and tables scattered on three floors. Certainly not laid out with any consideration to comfort of patrons in mind.

The second thing is - staff is rather snubby. I have been there two times and both the times they acted like we were bothering them. Even though they were not very busy, mind you. (Both times I went there upon insistence of my friends - I otherwise I tend to stay away from these pretentious places)

Besides these two points I cannot comment on the music or food scene because both the times there was no music (it must happen real late) and did not order any food either. Drinks are pricey as is the case in Bangkok. So all in all Poor rating for service and ambience. And for music and food, for the benefit of the doubt, i'm giving an overall average rating.

This place ranks as one of the top bars in Bangkok according to some list on the web and I do admit that it certainly has character. If your idea is to go to some unusual place to explore and get toasted this...

This is such a highly sold out bar especially because of the way it’s set up ⬆️ I love 💕 the fact that the music 🎼 and the band is set on top of the bar on the second level kinda sunken!!

The staff here are amazing they are so ready and helpful and they’re willing to really look 👀 into assisting you in any which way they can!! The servers are friendly and fun!! 🤩

The drinks are very good prices though food actually is served hot and fresh which is cool especially for a bar like that!

The decor and the way it’s designed and seated it’s really a very well done venue!

I just finished having an event there last night and I wanted to post the photos and every single one of the members that came here last night had a fantastic time!!

So thank you to Iron Fairies for such a wonderful evening you made our members feel welcome and appreciated and they also felt the same with all the staff that provided them all the drinks and food!! Win-win!! 😍😍😍
