The well located restaurant of the busy walking street in Fishermen Village overlooks the ocean and has a spectacular sunset view.
The Burmese staff welcomed me with huge smiles and offered great attendance.
My expectations for this restaurant were to have multiple layers of flavours and a wider range of taste. I went three times and was never disappointed.
1 - One and only Burmese Tea Leaf Salad and Shan Noodle soup with chicken ( you can have tofu if you are veggie) 2 - Samosa salad with greens and cabbage (stuffing was potato and onion) - and so yummy chicken curry with rice (it was so rich in different flavours) 3 - Cold mashed potato salad and chick pea vege curry with Paratha ( Plain roti)
The staff also let me try the egg curry, which has a sweetish caramelised onion gravy. Just wow. I would definitely go back for this and try more dishes.
In summary I can say now that Burmese Dishes are more slow cooked with more than one layer of taste and have less to no spice 🌶️ compare to Thailand dishes. Of course you can always add chili yourself.
Please note also that there is a wide range of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Drinks try their coconut shake which comes in a coconut itself. Sooo good.
Thank you so much Burma Kitchen for this culinary delight on...
